A friend of mine in Australia gave his daughters equally unintuitive Irish names, which s fine except neither he nor his wife are Irish. I'm not sure his kids will thank him in the end.

I can't find him by a google search, but there was an American WWII soldier who served in the Pacific theatre by the name of Lee Jeans.

I'm surprised that Jacob isn't on your list for boys names. About half of the males in my (very German) family were named Johann Jacob, with the other half named Johann Heinrich.

Ah, I see.
Although it might be worthwhile to just name your kid after someone who you couldn't stand. That way, it is easier to just abandon and leave the kid at the curb after they have pestered and annoyed you every day for a week straight. Less attachment issues and all that.

I don't have anything against the name itself. Where I get lost (as someone in North America) is figuring out how "Siobhan" gets pronounced "Shi-vawn".
By the way, it's La'Shawniqua

Why don't you have your German citizenship anymore?

I'm 28, from what I understood I had until I was 21 to keep it or not.

Crazy, I'm sure that was a tough decision.
I'm American but was born to Canadian parents. I moved to Canada at 18 but I have citizenship in both the US and Canada. I don't know what I would choose if I had to.

I'd probably decide on where I was living and who I pay taxes to, so I could vote and have some say on who represents me.

I will see your backwards heaven and raise you a forward Heaven. Yup. A friend of mine has a daughter named Heaven.
One of my sons spent a lot of time in the hospital as an infant and on one of his stays shared a room with a kid named Jaxxon. The only way that is acceptable is if the kid's twin brother is named Jaxxoff.

My sister-in-law has two boys and is pregnant with a third. She named the first two "Range" and "Tage."
I named my son Dominic and the first thing she said was "that's a really weird name."

Lady in Car: What are you gonna name it?
Alison Bradbury: What?
Lady in Car: The baby.
Alison Bradbury: [realizing she's faking being pregnant] Oh, the baby. Well, if it's a girl, Cynthia, and if it's a boy, Elliot.
Lady in Car: Those are lovely names.
Walter (Gib) Gibson: Elliot? You're gonna name the kid Elliot? No, you can't name the kid Elliot. Elliot is a fat kid with glasses who eats paste. You're not gonna name the kid Elliot. You gotta give him a real name. Give him a name. Like Nick.
Alison Bradbury: Nick?
Walter (Gib) Gibson: Yeah, Nick. Nick's a real name. Nick's your buddy. Nick's the kind of guy you can trust, the kind of guy you can drink a beer with, the kind of guy who doesn't mind if you puke in his car, Nick!
[Alison looks disgusted]
Walter (Gib) Gibson: [to Lady in Car] Oh, vomit. I'm sorry. Vomit.
