Table, I went to Jr. High with a Mr. Hunt and it was a feeder school for SWC. I wonder if he changed his name too.

Not a persons name, but the new CFL expansion team, the Ottawa Red Blacks? Really that's the best name some marketing punk could come up with? I can see the headlines already "Red Blacks left Black and Blue" after a tough loss.

I think it's supposed to be based on Italian soccer teams. It just sounds less stupid in Italian. AC Milan is actually known as the red blacks (rossoneri).

It actually the RedBlacks. one word.
I think it is based on the Tartan of a Kilt wearing branch of the RCMP, that is basically the equivalent of the US Secret Service.

A lot of rednecks are trying to name their kids Jase and duck dynasty names...
My fiance is half swedish and half German, I'm 100% German and we agreed that the children, like their cousins will have Swede/Germanic/Nordic names
Boys
Heinrich
Johann (Johannes [Hannus])
Sven
Franz
Hans
Otto (her Great Gpa's name)
Girls
Karolin
Sonja
Sophia
Ingrid
Hannah (Her great grandma's name)
We haven't decided but that is our list, I love Heinrich but she's not really sold on it.
We're currently working on our first child now and I'm excited and it's a lot of fun!
At my hotel we have some funky names
Inices - pronounced Niece eees
LaQuandrai goes by shay
Shalishia
It's amazing since a lot of people have "christian" names and some of these folks are hard core bible thumpers but they look like they came up with a name from alphabet soup.

I guess, kinda sorta, I was born in Bad-Cannstatt Germany ('85) from a Bavarian mother and a first generation american father (german)
we moved to the states in '89 and I no longer have my german citizenship or speak German like I should (which pisses my mom off)
Hope that explains it

Yeah, I think that's where their office is. There's a bus stop just south of there along northbound Crowchild, and that's where the "Anita Dyck" bench ad was. The last time I was past there, it was a different ad on the bench.

Yup that's Dyck Insurance. You can find it right next to the 'Fung Loy Kok' Taoist temple.

Met a couple of kids while working at a camp with strange names - two girls named Ireland and Tetris, and a boy named String, which was short for Stringfellow. Also once knew a guy by the name of Forrest Sterr.

I've always thought Siobhan was a bit of a head scratcher (at least in North America; apparently it's an Irish name). It's pronounced "Shiv-awn".

Having the last name Dyck myself, I knew it was a matter of time before it came up.
Everyone growing up always asked if I had an uncle named Harry which sadly I did not. I did however have an Aunt Ioana.

Ethnic names are fine. That would be like saying all Chinese names are head scratchers. Lashawniqua is not an ethnic name. Siobhan is.
