He is past (note the spelling) Alberts because he swung around after knocking the guy in the face and his arms are still high - look at the video.

I think it's funny that Canuck fans are so butthurt over this. The thread on the main forum on HF is hilarious.

It's especially funny because it involved two players both fan bases really don't care to see sitting. Yet par for the course, Canuck fans blow it out of proportion.

Behind closed doors, Canuck fans are actually happy because it means Corrado will get called up (5 points in 29 AHL games, -2).

That is of course, if Alberts is injured.

HFboards thread seems fairly level to me, except for the guy that claimed it's 'clear' McGrattan's intent was initial contact to the head. Also tried to tell me Canucks have only dived maybe 3 times this season.

Fanbases will defend their guys 9 times out of 10, nothing wrong with that

I don't think it was intentional - nor am I butthurt. I think there may be a suspension or not and I would be okay with a couple of games for consistency re hits to the head but think any more would be ridiculous. I would also be fine with McGrattan not getting suspended at all. I was just appalled at the posters here trying to say that Alberts was embellishing and that it was a perfectly clean hit - and there are as many if not more ridiculous posts in this thread than the one on HF Boards.

Yeah, I guess you kind of (note the spelling) were being an ass.

Watching the replays just makes it more and more clear Alberts was faking being knocked out. Not surprising coming from the team with the most diving scumbags in the league. Anytime a Flame gets hit from behind they jump right up and go to the bench, but you have Canuck players acting like they've been shot by a sniper.

Lest we forget Burrows peeking at the ref to see if a penalty was called. Typical Canuck BS.

It probably has something to do with Alberts looking like Qui Gon Jinn taking a lightsaber to the stomach and breaking his fall with his knees and then his hands.

Sorry but knocked out players don't break their fall twice.

Except that kinda (note the spelling) is in the dictionary as an informal contraction for kind of.

If Alberts was faking being knocked out - he wouldn't have shaken off the gloves. He was dazed. And yes - we know - all the Flames are superheroes and all the Canucks are diving scumbags.

Finally - we are on the same page.

And I too am a fan of hyphens.

Or should I say dashes.

Sorry but guys sitting on their couches looking for any excuse, know nothing about how or what kind of injury went on the ice.

Might not have been completely knocked out. Ever think of that?

Hockey is a cardio intensive game, maybe he was sucking wind when he got his bell rung. You never know.

It was a high hit, he got punished, move on.

Good ol' CP overanalysing every shred of evidence. I remember how Doughty was supposed to have embellished Bourque's spear based on the way Bourque's stick flexed.

Thanks, chief. My big toe resting on my couch knows more about the game than you can ever dream of knowing. So you sit on your couch, log off CP and you move on. Don't want to discuss the thread topic then don't post and especially don't tell me to move on.

It was a high hit and I hope McGrattan gets the biggest punishment in NHL history. Another useless goon out of the game is fine with me.

Glad your big toe does so well.

Maybe it can tell me how I'm not discussing the thread topic.

Regardless of whether or not it is suspension worthy, that was a pretty unorthodox hit by McGrattan. Not sure why his hands were up.
