Olli was just a nice guy, I told him it was a good game and that he played well. Allen was really worried and sympathetic about Iggy cuz they fought earlier and he wanted to make it clear that the injury was not related to the fight.
Met Commodore when he brought the cup back from carolina too, only shook his hand quickly. he was going wild though

Is from Calgary but not a goalie, played locally for the aaa flames and then professional in Italy

Sat in the Baker Hughes box when Lanny was with Baker, and I will beat the dead horse and say he is one of the nicest and charismatic guys I've met. I was a lowly intern and looked pretty out of place in the box at the time, and he still came up and introduced himself to me while I was standing there by myself.
Met Robyn Regehr at our company Stampede party and he was also very nice, took the time to talk to me for around 20 minutes while I was pretty hammered.
Now for the DBs: Dion Phaneuf. I saw him at Chinook mall and he wouldn't even acknowledge I was there. World class a-hole.
And...Rhett Warrener. All I have to say is that guy is one of the biggest ######bags I have ever met in my life.

Paul Reinhart - super nice, and signed an autograph before I even asked.
Mike Vernon - was just about to start his rookie season, met him again a few months ago and he's still a good guy.
MacInnis- gave me his autograph when we were both at the same Burger King. Was pretty early in his career.
Lanny - just awesome, to me when I was a kid and to my kids recently.
Dion Phaneuf - was great to my kids, gave them both autographs, ruffled my son's hair when he told him he was a big fan. Sad day for him when Dion got traded.
Conroy- I'm sure youre all surprised to hear he's great.
Iggy - also really nice to my kids.
Glenncross - was quiet but still really cool to people.
Not so nice:
Messier - same as someone said above. Avoids eye contact a ignores people.
Darren Dregger - not really an nhler, but a real self important jerk. Told me he hates Calgary and the Flames. Right back at you dooshbag.
Hall - thought he was Gods gift to women, and sneered at my kids when they walked by in Flames jersys.

met Karl Alzner when he was still with the Hitmen, so not-quite an NHLer at the time. But I was really impressed with him. Really friendly, gave good advice to kids asking him about skills.

My friends and I were eating in yaletown during the Canucks cup run and Pat Quinn walks by. All my friends are die hard Canuck friends and started chatting Pat about the cup run... Even though I didn't chime in (F*#K the Canucks), Pat was super friendly with them and spent about 15 mins chatting about round 1+2 of the playoffs

Had Rene Borque sit down and watch a period with a few other people when he was out with a high ankle sprain. Nice guy and even went as far as to say the whole team was a bit shaken up after Lombardi was traded (few weeks prior)

Trevor Kidd was a total dick when I delivered a Pizza to his house in 96. His girlfriend came to the door and even asked him why he was being a dick. His response "hes just a f&%&in pizza boy". She replied with "you can be a real Ahole". He signed the credit card slip, didnt tip. I was walking back to my car and she came out and gave me $10 and said sorry. I replied with, "he needs to save his money, hes a sh**y goalie. She smirked and went back in.

Iggy: Saw on the driving range. It was just him and me. He was very nice and polite.
Brent Sutter: I approached him in the YYC airport en route to Kelowna. We had a nice chat about the team.
Darryl Sutter: He was very nice as well and actually kinda pushed me around, haha.
Theo: absolute class act
Ronnie Stern: one of the nicest guys I've ever met
Gelinas: I had a couple drinks in me and told him he made my year in 2004. He wasn't the warmest guy...
Regehr: My buddy saw him in Saskatoon and Regehr was a few drinks in running around with his ATM bank statement. That's pretty ######y.

Only person I have seen is Craig Conroy one evening at Dairy Lane with his family. He seemed nice and jovial. I didn't talk to him, and I had nothing worthwhile for him to autograph.. My kids and I finished our food and left, then I realized that I was still carrying around some Flames tickets, but by then it was too late and I am not much of an autograph collector anyway.

Relevant: I sold my old propane BBQ to Junior Turner last year. Really nice guy, built like a brick sh**house. We spent 20 minutes trying to fit the BBQ into the back of his rental car hatchback (Kia Rio I think) which clearly was a square peg in a round hole sort of problem. Lulz ensued, still got the BBQ in there (not all the way, he drove back with the hatch partially closed).

I got to meet both (and Begin iirc) at the opening of a now defunct health food store. Both were really nice. Begin too
Weimer showed up to a Southland practice (either bantam or peewee 3/4 I beleive) and taught them how to take face-offs. That's a really nice gesture.

The whole Doan family are great people.
Met the Staals @ Cowboys after the Red/White game before the Olympics, they were all flirting with the beer tub girl and engaged us too when we would chime in
That same night Mike Green was a dick.

Taylor Hall was waiting next to me and my wife at the baggage carousel in Toronto last summer.
They announced that there would be a delay getting baggage as something was blocking things. I made a joking comment to him that his hockey sticks were jamming things up. He just stood there in his flip flops, with his girly L.V. overnight bag, like an awkward kid that has never been allowed out in public alone. While staring at the menu on his phone, with zero personality he says "no sticks with me". Then I asked if he'd consider playing in Calgary when he's a free agent. Again meekly "nah". I muttered "Good, don't want ya".

I wouldn't argue whether Hall is a jerk, but in general most people aren't great with witty comebacks. You had a pretty good line there about the sticks, but what can you really respond back with within a few seconds? Not everybody can channel their inner Bryzgalov.
