If Sven was to be traded I would hate to see the return. He looks slow and pretty bad right now =\

IIRC Vancouver and Anaheim are on the West coast.

I don't think anyone is giving Burke a thumbs up for allowing what's looked obviously needed for a while now.

I personally find the timing very curious as it indicates possibly that Feaster wasn't allowing Sven to be sent down previously.

It should have happened at the beginning of the season to get him going in the right direction. It's likely that if he had a good start, he would have been called up by now anyway.

How can sending Sven to a red hot scorching team in Abby be a bad thing?
Team is oozing confidence right now and Sven will do well soaking in that environment. Plus, Would love to see if he has some chemistry with Granlund.

in this thread, i'm definitely giving unwavering confidence to a guy who has done well with another somewhat similar prospect, kadri, and given him some tough love but also the time to develop, and it proved successful.

Default Flames assign Sven Baertschi to the Heat

I agree with this move only if it is with to the intention of developing Sven into a key piece of the flames going forward... Not if it's because Burke has no intention of keeping him. This kid has so much talent and works so hard, I know if he is traded the flames will regret it. It reminds me of Savard and St. Louis.... Only I see even more potential in Sven... Please don't many that mistake again.

I mean the "hill we will die on" ..... sound familiar but I can't pinpoint the reference......

I have the same feeling as well. I really think Burke is not a fan of Baerstchi. I am not saying that is the only reason why Burke fired Feaster and Weisbrod. I know there are other reasons. I am not saying Feaster does not deserve to get fired but we all know Brian Burke's ego is huge so it is basically his way or the highway. Now, he is looking for a GM that he probably wants to control.
