Of course you have to give a little something more but it shows that Feaster isn't really serious about improving the team.
Yea, trading a forward prospect that couldn't make the NHL with Calgary (let alone a contender) and an unproven goalie for a proven shut down defenceman is totally not improving the team.

Cam Fowler is likely untouchable in Anaheim. Eriksson was just traded for Seguin so no way Boston moves him. Only player that MIGHT be available is Franson but you'd have you add more than a "little" to that package to pry him out of Toronto.
Again, it's a mix. You're too focused on what it must be to realise what it is. Edmonton is funny because they have a significantly more talented team than we do, and if they played a responsible defensive game then they would still be able to score. Us? We have one of the least talented rosters in the NHL.
But hey, if you're into watching Phoenix Coyotes hockey, then good for you. I'm a realist, this is a rebuild, I'm cool with dropping games as long as they are fun to watch. There have been some games where that isn't the case, but I've enjoyed most games.
I suppose people like yourself forget that hockey is entertainment. So go be bored out of your mind watching Phoenix win if that's what does it for you.
To me, that kind of hockey is like the missionary position. It'll get you there, but it's not much of a ride. I guess it's Vanilla icecream and turtlenecks for you, all in the name of that W.
Who is "us"? You're a Hawks fan so use "the Flames".
A realist? Lol and yeah I am all about the wins I couldn't care less how boring we play as long as there is effort which is a big myth in the early Flames season.
Effort in the offensive zone and run around like a chicken with its head cut off in the defensive zone. Yay exciting hockey.
Some people just don't understand the game so they think scoring goals is what makes hockey exciting.
Little known fact: MMF was born without eyes, and therefore cannot watch games. Every post is a miracle of syntax luck while he randomly mashes away at the keyboard.

That's why you have to make decisions when improving your team. You watch now with Mike Cammalleri, all the rumors have started but will the Flames make the move now or will they wait?
I think that if they're not going to resign him and plan on trading him, they should do it now rather than creating a distraction that effects the whole team.
I don't know, Cam Fowler or Cody Fransen on D or even Loui Eriksson from the Bruins. There's lots of better players out there that can improve the Flames right away if you add them to the lineup.
Why would the Bruins trade Loui Eriksson who they just acquired?
Cam Fowler? Cody Fransen? I guess you are happy to trade our first round draft pick.
This is a re-build, we are not going to trade pieces of note to help improve the team right now. Also means that we will be stuck with acquiring projects, and second tier players via trade.

Crosby would improve this roster as well. Feaster is an idiot for not adding him to our team. Can't he see how good he is?

You know what, I don't have time sitting here replying to each and every comment to my posts on this forum. A lot of them being nonsensical to say the least.
I'm a Flames fan first and foremost and am giving my 2 cents of what I see when I watch the games.

Would you like a little cheese with that whine?
(See what I did there?)
If there is one thing I have realised, being that apparently I have no right to call myself a fan despite having watched Flames hockey for the last decade, is that there are some members of YOUR fanbase that seem insistent on blaming the coach, over and over, like there is some magic all-star caliber coach waiting for YOUR team to snatch up.
That Hartley, what a waste of a contract, too bad you couldn't have grabbed Mike Babcock, or Scotty Bowman, or Dave Tippet, or whomever and got them to just come right over.
But hey, I hear Ron Wilson is currently available. Might as well fire Hartley now and bring in old Ronny. Maybe he'll fix it. YOUR team is probably just one coach away from the Stanley Cup!
