Fair enough, I replied to the OP, not to the people arguing then after. Still I don't see why there should be any resentment on posts that are applicable to the thread and not to the current argument. People always complain about derailing a thread, but what about posts that re align it?
It's not just about video games, I used that as an example. I asked about Sales and deals in general on Remembrance day. The OP started out as a conversation about businesses and staffing on the day, and sales and deals are a part of that

My guess is you have never had a Veteran in the family, or have had your family tree impacted by a major war. Because I qualify for both of those statements, and the absolute last thing I am thinking of on Nov 11th is a deal on Haggar pants. The thought of it alone is nauseating. There is zero reason to celebrate or incentivise the day.

Then that's your prerogative. Just like how you feel Nov 11th takes priority over Dec 25th. My guess is that you don't have any friends or family members who differ in creed or religion.
If you feel that strongly for Remembrance day, why limit your mourning to a day? why not just take the whole week?
I'd like to think that the men and women who died would want us to exercise our freedom and enjoy our lives. If I died for my children's freedom, I wouldn't want to handcuff them for a whole day with sadness and grief. I would want them to celebrate life

No one should buy Haggar pants. Sale or not.

The malls were packed yesterday. People getting a head start on Christmas shopping.
I'd like to see the holiday moved to either the summer or Christmas time. It's useless having a holiday in November.

I just... I don't... I have no idea how to address this.
Think you're missing the point.

What, you don't think the armistice should have happened in July or some other nice month?
Upon reading that post again, I'm just scratching my head. I'm really hoping it was missing the green text.

Do you guys remember some of Magnum PEI's posts? He's kind of a slightly more normal version of MikeytheRedneck, theHOZ etc. Seems like a normal poster for the most part, then you get him on certain topics and he goes bat**** crazy.

I can't remember for sure, but I'm pretty certain he was a truther as well, with all the 9-11 stuff. Could be wrong on that one, though.

Technically WW1 ended on June 28 so that might be a good day. (Though I would say the treaty was signed under duress, so it never legally ended at all.)

Definitely NOT a truther, quite the opposite actually.

Sorry two questions:
- June 28 of what year?
- What treaties have not been signed under duress?

Oh get over it. Don't tell me you're new to the concept where posters on message boards would watch threads they're involved in.
Why don't you argue the content of my posts or discuss the topic of the thread. This is borderline personal attacking.

Anyways, Someone's wife at work lined up for a massive liquor store sale but didnt mention where or the name of the place. Does anyone know where it is? I heard it was worth lining up early in the morning for it

This is the definition of a troll. Everyone has asked you to keep the content either on the topic of working on Rememberance Day and whether or not you agree with the current process. And yet, you again bring up some deal when you have been repeatedly asked to show some tact and keep your posts in line with the current line of thread.
Not only that you give no details on the deal you are trying to find, which shows that you really don't care enough about finding it to be actually searching for it and your just looking to get another freak out response.
There is a thread for Calgary Deals and Discounts. Enjoy it and go away.
