Has there been any news out of the nhl that they are actually reviewing the hit from Ashton?

Ashton has a hearing tomorrow: http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=689417

No apparent injury to Smith, and he got his face caved in by O'Brien. He likely gets a fine at most.

Backlund finds a way to prevent future benchings:

Finally, #Movember is almost here! I will donate 150 dollars for every point I score and for every win the team gets in #Movember!
If Hartley benches him in November, he's trying to take money away from cancer research.

I can understand the argument (but don't agree with it) that you can rip off the stupid Leafs fans by selling your tickets for 4 times face value and using that money to pay for your other tickets, but selling them to Leafs fans for face value is the worst case scenario.
Never said I sold them to a leafs fan. The point is ill sell them to whoever I want and don't like being called a clown

No, it's not OK...you should have made them pay through the nose. And yes, you should make super duper sure.

And it's "you're," not "your."
And you're a grammar policeman on top of it all..you are awesome.

But Nevermind, I see that you are just trying to touch a nerve so I will move on.

Oops my phone capitalized the n up there, don't let that one slide.

Tell you what, when you pay for everyones season tickets, then you can decide how much and to who they can sell their tickets too. Otherwise, it's really non of your business.

I had season tickets, and, 41+ games a year is a HUGE time commitment. Add on to that the $11,000 price tag for the season, with food and beer, it's another $200 a night... I'm an artist, money at times is scarce. To pay for them, I sold them to whomever I wanted. And usually below face value. I sold tickets to a Canucks fans, Leafs fans, etc. And I didn't care one bit. I slept great at night.

To the game. I'm really liking Colborne. Once he grows into his body, and fills out a bit he's going to be a beast. If he can find a way to put on another 15 to 20lbs of muscle over the off season he'll be tough to play against.

Tell you what, when my enjoyment of Flames games is negatively impacted by large numbers of people choosing to sell their tickets (whether for individually rational, financially-driven ticket subsidization purposes or just because they can make a quick buck from economic refugees from other parts of the country), I think it is my business. I recognize there's nothing I can do about it (except maybe sell my tickets and make it worse for those Flames fans who stick it out). I happen to think we need to consider the (hopefully) unintended consequences of our actions and I don't think "I paid for it" is an absolute trump card.

If my use of the term of art "clown" in my original post got some people's knickers in a twist, consider me suitably chastened and I'll try to do better next time.

Give it up. People can do whatever the hell they want. The games are more enjoyable with a bunch of opposing fans, anyways. It beats the library atmosphere when it's just Flames fans.
