In the console game I'm an xbox guy but it seems this generation Microsfot tried to make the ultimate home entertainment unit instead of a gaming machine. I would buy a PS4
Which is fine - it may indeed be an awesome home entertainment unit but it seems to be lacking in the game department so far versus their competition. And we haven't seen much about their pass through TV/multimedia message much at all since the initial reveal. There are rumors about it having issues but who really knows are this point - we're just weeks out now and we still don't know as much as I would like.
Yeah there is so much garbage out there right now. Once the systems are out and people get to see with their own eyes none of this crap will matter.
So true. I check out information all over the web and all I find are geek arguments about technical mumbo jumbo. Microsoft has put out 2 great consoles now, I can't see them totally dropping the ball on their third. But as you said, its too early to tell. It'll be cool to see both systems in real life and know what they are actually capable of.
Personally as much as the army of gaming nerds seem to want to gang up on MS right now, I still think they have some very promising looking features. And yes, to some people (myself included) the overall entertainment features do matter.

Damn those nerds, talking about electronics and videogames like they're something nerds do!
By "talking", do you mean going into childish, annoying rants and arguments about minimal differences in technical specs, fueled a blatantly obvious sense of brand loyalty? Yes, there's lots of that on the internet.
Let me know when there's legitimate information on the games and the cool stuff you can do with the consoles. The rest is just noise.

I have a good history with Xbox after the ps3 let me down. At the end of the day it comes to personal preference and for myself I like the idea of an all in one system. I liked the fact they constantly upgraded and updated their product/dashboard over the years. Cross game chatting was a wonderful thing as I game online a ton.

I think you missed the part where the title of the thread is "VIDEOGAME POLITICS THUNDERDOME" pleb.
I suppose you could necro the XBone or PS4 specific threads if you wanted a hugbox though.

If you are familiar with console launch history, there is actually some interesting analogies that others have suggested with a "third console curse".
Sony is seen as being incredibly arrogant upon the PS3 launch - as Erick Estrada mentioned the proprietary cell processor, the infamous "599 US dollars" and that they saw the PS3 as"for consumers who think to themselves 'I will work more hours to buy one'. We want people to feel that they want it, irrespective of anything else."
Similarly, some gamers are looking at Microsoft's perceived (rightly or wrongly) arrogance with the Xbone launch - their DRM plans, their poor messaging, 180 panicking, etc.
Is there a real curse? Probably not, but watching these launches is certainly interesting.

LOL, of course! The consoles aren't out yet so people are discussing and speculating. Or going through leaks and actual screenshots/videos like the last few days.

You don't want to see actual screenshots or resolutions that the consoles can actually output or what developers can do with hardware right now for launch games?
Okay, but you might want to avoid any forums, gaming or tech websites for at least a year (maybe two) while they iron out all the launch hiccups and stabilize operating systems, networks and features. Like EE has suggested, developers will be more familiar with the hardware in a year or two and websites will be able to give you what you are looking for.

Oh you wanted THAT instead of leaked of screenshots & videos of actual game play, developer announced resolution capabilities, or game journalist analysis and industry insider comments . . . ummm, sure we can change and do this instead!
(BTW I'm just kidding with the stuff below dude - but these are some pretty amazing/funny stuff that I've seen. Now here is some REAL THUNDERDOME fanboy stuff!)
A little expensive at 199. I thought the previous Mad Cat sticks were 149ish but the quality is always great. It looks like they made it easier to customize though than past versions.
Regardless, it is the only way to play any kind of fighting game. Can't recommend a fightstick enough if you plan on getting Killer Instinct.
Madcat sticks are great but I hear a lot of people go and change out the switches on them to get a more arcade-y feel for the more hardcore fighting game purists.
I have a SFIV stick and it's still going strong three years on after lots of use so not sure if there's a need.
I don't know about switches but I swapped in some Sanwa parts myself. And I am not sure there is "official" confirmation that 360 fightsticks will fully work on the Xbone but there was this (I think I might have posted the picture a while back but I am not sure). Hopefully it'll work.
One thing that I'm not sure if it's news or not but, some guy brought his fight stick and it worked. He said it was a MAS Pro Stick. Here is a pic of him playing Killer Instinct with it:
The original Madcatz TE Fightstick was $200 so nothing has changed in their pricing model.

Actually to be fair, all the images I've found around neogaf, giantbomb and the other gaming sites could certainly all be photoshopped. Who knows, maybe they're all lying and the PS4 could be the one doing 720p and the TV, TV, TV. I'm sure we'll see more screenshots as the launch phase continues - all of which could be photoshopped as well!
Are any of these screenshots from reputable news sites? I'm horribly skeptical and I feel like some people out there have an agenda to trash the Xbox One.

All the screenshots I posted in the BF4 thread are homegrown and not doctored!

What would lead you to that conclusion outside of the major internet war between the Sony and Microsoft fanboys?

BTW, I photoshopped the image below (actually I didn't - but it could have been, I have no idea).
