would have been nice to come home 1-3-1 or better yet 2-3, but it is what it is, tough road trip.

i'm more disappointed to hear baertchi being scratched with guys like jackman, glencross in the lineup.

i thought baertchi was playing as hard as anyone, and part of the reason for monahan's early success.

i also would prefer smith in on D, at least as a trial over guys like butler/breen.

Glencross led all forwards in icetime last night and is still getting powerplay time. I don't think his sitting is imminent.

At the very least I think he should taken off the powerplay. It's strange to me that Backlund and Galiardi never see powerplay time, even when the other units are struggling.

Just like when Sutter was coach with Bork and Butler. No accountabilty. Sends the wrong message for sure to the young guys.

Tired team. Ok first period, tired effort in the 2nd and 3rd. Ramo was not very good at all. I noticed several times he lost track of the puck.
Streaky goal scoring how about streaky goal tending that is what he looks like to me so far.
This road trip was a test to see if the Flames would come crashing back to reality and they did 1-4. The record speaks for itself.
The loss of Gio has been key to the last 2 losses. Without him they are exposed at how little depth they have at D. A young unproven roster can't lose their Captain especially when the few veterans we have don't step up and fill that void.

Are you serious? It was a bad road trip, when has Calgary ever had a good record on the road? They're still in 19th place overall right now. Here is Calgary's record compared to the bottom 3 teams. Considering they've had a few key injuries and a road trip through California it could be a lot worse.

19. Flames: 4-4-2
28. Rangers: 2-6-0
29. Flyers: 2-7-0
30. Sabres: 1-9-1

I doubt Glencross gets benched but I would like to see him taken off the PP and dropped down to the third line. Let him crash and bang for awhile until he finds his game and then bring him back up.

I'd like to see these lines next game:

Baertschi - Stajan - Stempniak
Cammalleri - Monahan - Hudler
Bouma - Backlund - Jones
Glencross - Colborne - Galiardi

Playing Glencross with Galiardi in hopes some of Galiardi's work ethic rubs off on Glencross.

The past few years there's been a trend of the team playing BETTER when it has key injuries, something that has looked to continue this season. If Gio is back for Saturday, I think that's a 100% healthy roster? When the Flames are healthy, that's when I get nervous.

i feel it is critical to give backlund some solid, offensive wingers this season.. Decision time is coming up quick on whether backlund is considered a scoring line center or a checking line center. Let's see what he can do with some skill on his line.

A road trip that included two of the best teams in the ENTIRE LEAGUE in addition to another team who looks to be a very likely playoff team in our division. And we hung with two of those three. Almost nobody hangs with SJ.

Let's see how they respond against Wash, Tor, and Det at home before we write them off as the bad team we thought they were before the good start.

No worse than everyone else. Done nice defensive plays, but that's about it

Pretty bad. Was barely any better than Glencross. It was the worst game I've seen him play since the 11-12 season.
