these jerseys should not sell for more than $20. Fake laces? On an Olympic team?
Plastic fake laces? It's unfathomable they did went with that to be honest. Bizarre.
Anyway, whatever.

Or you could buy a real one for 75 bucks.

Yeah. Spend your money supporting Chinese knock-off artists instead of spending it in Canada, on Hockey Canada products, which ultimately help get kids involved in hockey. Bravo.

As of November 1st from me. I get them directly from Nike and that would be a CP discount. I say November 1st because that is when Nike is shipping them to me.

They were arrogant enough to put gold on the jerseys so they're definitely too arrogant to admit to any sort of mistake.
Even if they weren't, they didn't get the message after the hate against the leaked photos so I don't think it would be any different a month later.
The real shame is that these jerseys will merely take a whole bunch of recycled bottles and put them into landfills.

I don't think people realize the process involved in jersey creation. There's so many steps involved, including getting approval for each little detail along the way.
By the time fans see a leak of a jersey, it's way past the point of going "Oh, the response isn't favorable, let's scrap it and start over".

Just because Nike wants it to seem like rocket science doesn't make it a super complicated process. Three years to lose 80grams from a jersey and they didn't think to throw their MS Paint generated soccer jersey past a focus group? The design is the last and easiest step, they've created their template, it's the exact same as all of the other countries Nike made a jersey for.
It was less than 6 months between Hockey Canada realizing they could use their 'historic' logo and getting the jersey unveiled for 2010.
They changed from the ridiculous vertical striped socks to horizontal stripes in 2006 as well (the infamous "swift" era. Nike should have been scrapped then).
Don't try to make it seem like the creation process is the problem, the material has already been made. They just need to stick with them so they can sell as many as possible they've already made before we find them by the rack full at liquidation world in 5 months.

Actually orders for this jersey were placed by is small and large retailers a year ago. Changing them was not an option.
Not sure if you understand how the clothing industry works, but we have to purchase product 8-12 months in advance and even then nothing is guaranteed to make it on time. As for a hockey jersey with such a small market, there is no way that Nike is gonna scrap the idea that far into the process.
Also Nike has the jerseys sold a few months before the leak as you cannot cancel a booking after the product is in production. Sure you could refuse the product but good luck trying to get anything else from them.

Im guessing those stripes are also made of the hot-glue gun plastic. Other than that (just like every other jersey) they are good. Who though up this crap?

Actually like the stripes, even before I knew what it was. Nice-looking jersey, and very cool idea with the anthem incorporated.
