I had the same issue. I unplugged, then updated be going to the settings on the menu and update at the top. That worked, but I don't know why

I bought the Grapeseed airstrip with Trevor and did the first couple missions before doing any flight school, and you can get up and maneuver around fine. It's the landing and skirting around tight spaces where it gets tricky at first. From only knowing flying from previous GTA's, its a little different too, what with the whole picture flipping with you now. Also gotta train yourself to move left/right with LB/RB, as opposed to just L/R on the joystick.
I think stealing a plane from LSX and then trying to do an E-landing on top of Chiliad to grab a parachute as your very first time in a plane in V would be quite challenging.
|
I cursed the landing challenge at flight school every single time I failed, but now I can land my fighter jet on nearly anything. Makes me want to buy the airport so I can have a plane in the north and south.

According to another forum, try ignoring the update (pressing circle), go into the game, pause, then sign in to PSN, and then accept the update. Also make sure your PS3 software is at the newest version.
I had the same issue and this seemed to work for me.

So the cult has an RPG for those who like those sort of things. Somewhat connected, the army does not take kindly to you firing an RPG at their helicopter.

Finished the main missions today. Then I used this guide to make +$1,500,000,000 for each character (Michael, Trevor, & Franklin). It is very accurate, just make sure you are saving - in case you miss the selling points.
maximise your profits.

Someone suggested somewhere to do the assassination missions after the main mission? Does that make sense? Or who cares?

Lester gives you stock tips during the assassination missions that will payoff better later in the game as you'll have more money to invest.

For sure. I just think people say to do it this way because the returns on the Lester missions/investments are known to be guaranteed, where as the AUG is more of a gamble.

If you want to make a lot of money, do the assassination missions (2,3,4&5) after the main missions. Because after the big score each character will make 26-30million+. So you have more money to put towards your stock for a greater return on investment.
As part of the main missions you have to do the 1st assassination mission. But after completing that just ignore them.

It had something to do with the GTA Online going live, happened at the same time.
Doesn't make sense though since Ammunation dropped from 700 to 300!

I got on yesterday before the patch after I deleted my character and started a new guy. After downloading the patch I was given the chance to edit my character one last time, and then I was able to play for several hours last night. I played a bit this morning but started get "server is down" messages and gave up.
edit...xbox
