It makes me weep inside that 4K gaming is achievable, but it will cost me $3500 just for the monitor, and then another $3000 for the PC to use it.

Money is no object for such gaming! Seriously, the refresh rate isn't there but there's this:

That's a standard button layout for fightsticks these days. 4 buttons for A, B, X, Y and 4 for left trigger, left shoulder, right trigger, right shoulder. Generally speaking, the 2 buttons on the far right are rarely used. If say the top row is LP, MP and HP the top right button would combine all of those inputs into a single button. It makes it easier for people to pull of ultras, supers etc.

They make some damn fine sticks and it almost looks like it comes with a polycarbonate top panel. That would amazing! I had to custom order a laser cut panel from a guy off Shoryuken for my original fightstick so that I could use my own artwork.

Square gates are kinda awful. I had always meant to swap out the gate on mine but never got around to it. It has a nice throw to it but it's easy to slip into a different direction. It does make down forward/down backward movements easy though.

Kinda surprised to be honest if this is true. It would really be a potential gold mine of information/money for Kinect.http://www.engadget.com/2013/10/04/x...-targeted-ads/

Of particular interest was whether or not the Kinect would be able to collect data for use in targeted advertizing. Thankfully, Albert Penello, Microsoft's Director of Product Planning, explained in a NeoGAF post yesterday that those fears are unfounded. "Nobody is working on that," Penello wrote, "We have a lot more interesting and pressing things to dedicate time towards." Additionally, he emphasized that certain types of sensitive information, like facial recognition scans, do not leave the console and therefore cannot be accessed from cloud-based services. Whether or not the response is enough to mollify concerned users remains to be seen, but the situation is likely not the last time Microsoft will find itself in a defensive position over the handling of user data. |

I don't game anymore, but I just saw the thread title and noticed the lack of WiiU. No biggie. It's like the Vita of consoles.

Maybe if they ever release a party game for WiiU that isn't a hot pile of garbage (I'm looking at you Nintentoland...that was a disappointing drinking game), it would be as useful as the Gamecube/Wii.
