There'll definitely be a lawsuit, and I bet he wins a decent sized settlement (working under the assumption he had simply stopped his bike and wasn't going after the guy or something when he was hit, which of course may not be the case), but the interesting thing will be who is going to be on the hook to pay it. I'd hope the vast majority of the responsibility falls on the guy who created the situation to begin with.

That's them. Not really a gang, just a bunch of idiots. There seem to be little groups of these guys, lots of them on unlicensed dirt bikes, around the outer boroughs. This was a bunch of them going on a planned nuisance ride from Brooklyn to Times Sq.

I'm still baffled why the guy brake checked him in the first place. Talk about putting your life under someone elses foot. Was he trying to pick a fight or did the SUV do something he didn't like first? Either way, what an idiot. Can't say I would have acted differently...well I probably would have slammed it in reverse when I hit traffic and they were breaking my windows.

They call themselves Hollywood Stuntz.

Doesn't appear to be their first time either.

go to facebook and check out "Justice For Jay Meezee". I can't believe there are people that think these guys were in the right. The negative posts on the page show the distain people have for the bikers and the lack of support these guys are facing. I wrote on the page that the range rover driver was protecting his family and must have been terrified. If Jay Meezee wanted to protect his family he would backed off during the pursuit instead of pursuing. I think Jay Meezee got what he deserved.

Adam Bray Does this mean Jay is going to have to ride in a sidecar next time they attack a family?

That's irritating to watch. Zero sympathy for the stupid biker gang.
Makes good bikers look bad; these idiots were looking for trouble.

Start the lawsuit with bringing all your biker friends as witnesses and have them identify themselves in the videos. Then proceed to charge each biker for traffic violations and dismiss the case of the guy running for his life.

I sure hope so....although I have a feeling that going after "Columbia graduate, Ranger Rover driving, executive guy" looks like a much juicier target than going after one of your fellow thugs who's probably also an "aspiring rapper".

Somewhat related question to you and any other lawyers out there...but is there such a thing as litigation insurance? What do people with money/perceived money do to protect themselves from this kind of thing? Its one thing to be innocent...its another thing to have to go into debt to prove it.

It would be sickening for this guy to have to go into debt for a defense.

Car insurance in South Florida is quite high due to the frequency of staged accidents that were really popular with a certain group of immigrants for several years. Not that other groups don't do that. Just going with the facts.

I guarantee every one of us would have done the same thing as the SUV driver if we we're put in the same position. I hope every single bike driver involved is identified and put in jail, and the driver of the SUV gets nothing.

I guarantee you are wrong. I thought the SUV driver let them off the hook.

Not sure if I'm misreading here or what, but are you suggesting you would have gone on some sort of GTA V style rampage running over people? I don't think this is the first time you've suggested doing something like that either. Time to chill out dude. Protecting yourself and your family is one thing, murder is a little bit different.
