I don't know whether I'm more offended by the amount of times posters have used the term "should of", or what posters are saying to defend the bikers while using the term "should of".

The guy who cut in front to start the incident has been charged with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, endangering a child, and menacing. Good, hopefully the ID the rest of them.

I don't know.

Moot point since he didn't have a weapon but I would've taken a shot in his position. Around the 5 minute mark of the video when the guy tries to rip his door open, that guy. At that point, maybe you're right and they keep after him, but maybe they think twice and take their buddy to the hospital instead. Or someone calls an ambulance and the police get a sense of urgency about responding to the whole thing. It's better than what appears to be certain at the point they start trying to get into his car, which is that he's getting his brains beat in. I agree with you, it's nuts that they only cut him a couple of times; at that point you're pretty much committed and I fully expect critical injuries if not DOA.

I realize there are... well, no there weren't hundreds, but there were a couple dozen bikers and he couldn't shoot all of them. But the notion that he's going to shoot some of you, and you might be one of the ones that gets shot, and it's easily avoidable by running away, is probably pretty good motivation to not be nearby anymore.

Come on. Yes you do. As a rational adult I'm prepared to sit patiently and give people a chance to provide a reasoned explanation as to why those bikers should be defended, but there is no excuse for bad grammar.

Really sad when you can't just drive to your destination with your family any more.

Imagine having a bunch of bicyclists taking turns jumping up and down on top of the hood of your car, and you're in a convertible with the top down?

I forgot the exact situation, but basically the bikers surrounded the car as they went up A1A , and one of the cyclists thought the driver of the car got too close.

Well, you SURROUNDED the car, idiots.

You have to laugh at the motorcyclist posting this. Without that, there is no evidence that the original "accident" was just a stupid stunt. The guy was looking over his shoulder to ease himself into the suv.

Driving on the sidewalk, blowing red lights and then smashing a car mirror. Classy.

No sympathy for the bikers at all. And I have to say if I was surrounded by a mob of angry bikers after I hit an idiotic one who brake checked my, while I'm sorry about your damn luck. I'm getting my family to safety, and if I have to squash a few bikes to do it. Your fault not mind.

If one of the bikers did post it, this is a major backfire, the moron who brake checked is looking at some pretty significant time and the evidence is right there on video.

It'd be nice if a judge could order a seizure of their bikes, and also order that their mode of transportation for a year is a girls banana bike from the 70's with streamers a basket and a bell.

Yeah I'm really agonizing over it

Jokes require their to be some sort of humor present. That's especially true when your joke involves offensive terms. There's a reason Louis CK can drop N-bombs in his set and not get ripped a part for it, because he crafts then into actual jokes. There's also a reason you don't see much of Michael Richards anymore.

Honestly I'm less offended by the racist element than I am by how not funny the comment was.

I'm anti-gun (I think) but in this situation, if I had a firearm and my wife and kid were in danger, I'd be aiming with some very bad intentions.

After the first incident when the guy brake checked and got bumped, his friends attacked the vehicle and started slashing hte SUV's tires. At that point the driver feared for his, and his family's, safety at fled the scene. The bikers were clearly attacking the vehicle and the people in the vehicle.

The vehicle stopped when it couldn't continue because of the flat tires and the traffic.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if one member of a group attacked me I would pretty much assume the rest were of like mind.

Actually, I think bringing out a gun in that situation would do 2 things:

- Make them more angry. Even though you took one or more of them out, you couldn't stop all of them.

- It would serve to escalate the situation. If one of them had a gun, which is likely, they wouldn't think twice about using it against you. Even if they didn't, your gun would eventually fall into their hands when things escalated, and it could be used against you.

I have no doubt that if that guy pulled a gun against these attackers, the knife cut on his face would have paled in comparison to the hole in the back of his head.
