Bikers in this situation are a bunch of thugs out looking for trouble. Too bad more of them didn't get run over.

How exactly is that stupid? They terrorized a man with his little daughter in his back seat and then pulled him out of his car, beat him and attacked him with a knife... Yeah.. Great guys. Hope they all get better real soon.

Brutal. Shame on the bikers. I can't blame the guy for plowing through them.........I would if my family was being attacked. Terrible thing for their family to have to have happen to them. Idiots.

If the video of these morons swerving their crotchrockets into an SUV wasn't enough to tell me that they are, umm, morons, the fact that they call their little group "Hollywood Stuntz" really sealed it.
A Range Rover like that weighs almost 6000 pounds, and one guy ended up with a broken leg. Is that what they mean when they say "dumb luck"?

Both the bikers and the driver were stupid. For anyone who actually watched the video, the bikers didn't 'attack' anyone, it was just that one biker who braked in front of the land rover. After that, we all can only assume the driver in the land rover felt endangered for his family and himself, therefore running over a bunch of bikers... thus pissing off all the bikers then chasing him and later beating him up.

I wonder if that had anything to do with the bikers stopping, getting off their bikes and attacking his vehicle... You can say that the bikers didn't attack anything, but the reports don't seem to indicate that and long before the driver took off their were several bikers getting off their vehicles to confront the vehicle that can clearly be seen in the video.
It was a fender bender caused by intentional unsafe driving by the biker. It didn't warrant having his vehicle damaged by the rest of the thugs, and anyone would have reacted the same way with their 5 year old in the back. I can't fault the driver for anything here.
I mean, it's easy to say the driver should have got out and exchanged information with the nice bikers who have started slashing his tires with knifes, but I don't know if that would have worked out as well as others seem to be thinking...

Talking about the driver:
Quote:
“He’s taken out of the car, he is assaulted,” Kelly said.
The video ends when the SUV gets stuck in traffic on 178th Street. As the group of bikers surround the Range Rover once again, one of the riders can be seen jumping off his bike, ripping off his helmet and using it to bash in the driver’s side window.
A second biker can also be seen running up and hitting the driver’s side rear window with his fists.
“He’s taken out of the car, he is assaulted,” Kelly said of the driver.
Police said the driver of the SUV, 33-year-old Alexian Lien, had his wife and infant daughter inside the car at the time of the incident. The driver had called 911 to report the bikers were driving erratically, police said.
Lien was taken to Columbia Presbyterian where he received stitches for cuts to his face and was released, police said. He will not face any charges, authorities said.

I can't really blame the driver in this one. Those bikers were intentionally looking to intimidate and antagonize people in cars. They were looking for an excuse to get in a confrontation. Why else would that biker purposely get in front of the SUV and brake really hard other than hoping the guy would almost nick him so he would have an excuse to get into it with the driver? If I saw that, there is no way I get out of my car after, especially with the wife and infant kid in the car. You can't reason with a bunch of thugs looking for trouble.

Yah, I somehow doubt those guys would wait quietly while he locked himself in the car. They would have broke his windows and dragged him out to beat the crap out of him. The guy panicked and tried to run. I really can't see how the guy is at fault given the circumstances.

Until they break the window and the glass splatters in his daughters eyes.
He was protecting himself and his family, the other bikers blocked him in, at that point it's their fault even if it wasn't 100% intentional from their point of view. At least as far as I'm concerned.
You can say whatever you want about what made the drivers go ape####, but they were already getting off their bikes (100% sure) and attacking the vehicle (according to reports) before anything happened so that point is entirely moot. The driver clearly felt threatened and when it comes to protecting your family out of panic, I don't know if his actions can be considered stupid. Except of course by internet tough guys who think they would have confronted the couple dozen bikers looking for a fight.

I am actually surprised the guy didn't run over more of these thugs.
I don't have a kid but I can't imagine being in that situation and not intentionally swerving into these so called bikers. There would likely be several of these losers splattered all across the road and you can award them Darwin awards for going up against a several tonne machine with their couple hundred pound bike. I would be swerving into them to protect my family no matter how many of them I would need to run over for them to get the point and stop following me.

Police having trouble identifying some of the bikers from the video as they weren't riding with their plates on. Real law-abiding citizens there. These are the same kind of people that wear balaclavas to protests. Just looking to stir the pot and create some excitement for themselves. Bunch of a-holes.

Heh...there's even a d00sh on a 4-wheeler at 3:07. Lamest motorcycle gang ever, these cretins are about one or two levels of bad-ass above a Shriners parade.

My question is why he didn't call the cops at that point and stay on the interstate or hwy and not go to a heavy traffic area?
I don't blame him with his kid in the car, it should be every parents utmost priority to take care of their kids at all costs.

Probably because the "interstate" leads to the GW Bridge or north to other bridges, and is pretty much guaranteed to be a parking lot at any time. Exiting where he did didn't work out, but there's at least a chance you come across police before being stopped in traffic and surrounded by a bunch of thugs.

That's pretty much the whole point of this ride apparently. Notice that pretty much no bike has a license plate? These guys were out to cause trouble and they found it.
