No, you said, explicitly, that the absence of this in the contract might make the contract invalid. And I'm saying that's nuts. If you have an agreement for services and you don't put a price for those services into the contract, that might make it invalid. The GST number absolutely will not.

GST works entirely differently for real estate. Depending on whether one or both parties are registrants the onus for withholding GST can shift to the seller.

Sounds like this guy is in bigger trouble besides this eviction, and the assault charges. I guess the government looked into him and he did some work for them without a proper business license to the tune of 90k. I guess the fine is 3x the amount paid up to 300k.
This guys life is about to completely fall apart because he was stupid.

I'm starting to wonder if he's going to completely lose his #### tomorrow and people will end up badly injured or dead. I know he spoke calmly with the police this evening but still...this just seems like it will go south, very badly.
I hope it doesn't, but he escalated to physical violence with his prior landlord in Montreal. Seems like he's got a lot more to face this time around and that he will escalate again, and worse than before. I really hope that anyone that has to deal with him in the next few days don't end up hurt or worse. I think if I were the people living on the other side of that duplex, I'd be packing up my most precious items & pertinent papers (birth certs, passports, mortgage or rental agreements, marriage certs, anything important like that) and vacating the premises for a few days, just in case.

If he's truly a Freeman of the land there should be no violence.
Mr Okeri was d PHE teacher of d JSS classes back then in my secondary school days. He was tall & lanky wit an old skul look. He had a reputation 4 being harsh & a good 'flogger'. Most students dreaded him as no1 wants 2 get into any trouble wit him. Mr Okeri was usually d teacher dat executed d principal's flogging order on erring students @ d assembly ground in d mornings. He was virtually like the commandant in charge of discipline matters in our school then.
On fridays, some students usually don't feel like learning much as they don't return to their classes afta d break period. They simply went home through d back of d sch compd 4 an early start of d weekend. Dis was their own 'Thank God it's friday' (TGIF) attitude.
On a fateful friday aftanoon, a group of boys were still playing football long afta d bell had sounded 4 d end of break. Of course they had their sch bags around them so dat they culd jst go home afta some good playing time. Mr Okeri who jst entered d sch compd, was dismayed when he saw these students. He picked up a long cane & went afta them. He was shouting 'go back to ur classes' as he tried 2 chase them. These stubborn boys who were rily in their nasty moods dat day, picked up their sch shirts, sandals & bags & fled 2 d other end of the large field area. They began making fun of him by showing him all sorts of mockery signs 4rm making faces @ him to performing acrobatics & displaying their backsides wit dancing steps. 'Catch us if u can, we are going home anyway' was simply d msg to the teacher. They had d impression dat he would not recognise any1 of them as they were standin @ a seemingly safe distance away 4rm him. An albino (oboboh) was @ d forefront of dis group. Dis albino was almost d gang leader as he led d displays & took d moment wit relish. Unfortunately he didn't realize dat he was different & easily traceable among many black boys. Mr Okeri who took good note of dis albino, felt humiliated & went back to d staff room. The rackals then went home 4 d wkend.
On d following monday morning, Mr Okeri simply went round d JSS 2 classes & picked up d foolish albino. He was forced 2 expose his partners-in-crime & they were all given 5days of 'labour' afta receiving d flogging of their lives. D albino lost most of his friends afta dis experience as they wuldn't want 2 be easily tracked afta some stubborn acts.

Wild stab in the dark. He is a freeman, who is disappointed with the behaviour of the freeman who is in the news. Who is calling attention to their group in a negative way, and will quickly lose his fellow freemen due to his actions.
I take it the teacher is the police or society. The kids are the freemen, and the behaviour is what go the attention of the teacher and got them all in trouble. I think he is saying the guys actions do not represent the group as a whole, or at very least his showboating actions have brought unwanted trouble to his "friends"
I have not idea why these folks write the way they do. Maybe by writing like that, they believe it is not a legal record, just like putting your name in all caps.
Or it could be an illiterate from the Chuck. Lots of those up there. Just way to many coincidences given his sign up date, first comment, then story for me.

Wait, so freemen not only ignore laws and regulations at their convenience, but also show complete disdain for the English language? I hate them.

Fata me, that made my head hurt. It's like reading Of Mice and Men if it were completely from Lennie's point of view.
Protip: the rest of the Internet allows more than 140 characters, feel free to spell out full words, if you can.

Oh, it gets far worse than cancer man's grammar. Wait until you try to have a discussion with them about the meaning of words like "understand", "law", "de facto", and "authority". Essentially, they steal these words from the English language, and then use them to create their own half-assed, make-up-the-meanings-as-you-go-along fmotl language. It is bizarre.

That was actually the first thing I did, assuming that he was quoting something to make his point, but didn't really give me any insight.

Wouldn't it just be easier to use english? No offense dude, but that was highly stressful to attempt to read. Also, extremely annoying.
Know what's awesome about a Freeman on this site? They still abide by all of CP's rules. You're a slave to Bingo and there's nothing you can do about it.

Tell me why I had to be a powerslave
I don't wanna die, I'm a god, why can't I live on?
When the life giver dies, all around is laid to waste.
And in my last hour,
I'm a slave to the power of death.

The tag line on cbc suggests he was arrested on the Quebec warrant, which makes sense. Now they'll be perusing the code to see what they can charge him with in Alberta too.
What a knob.
