No doubt. I think I poured about 200 hours into the game. And no subscription required. So definitely not the worst $60 I've ever spent. The worst purchase ever...well I didn't buy it...the gf did... was the slap chop. Vince suckered her good, despite my warnings!

I'm surprised people still play the game. Since my account got hacked (late May/early June) I haven't played ever since.
I think I overplayed Diablo 2 when it was at its peak.

I go through spurts of Diablo 3. Play for a couple weeks, put er down for a month. Think I decided to put er down for a month a couple days ago. Doing around @ MP3 solo so far and get key drops on the regular.
Barbarian is paragon 15 with %330 percent magic find without NV.
Demon Hunter is paragon 8 with lower magic find but 82k dps.

Not too sure if it was Win2K or WindowsNT, regardless, it was just one of those versions that I really never needed considering the only thing I did on my computer back then was play games and type reports.

Windows NT was the first business class of Windows to be released, the most widely used being NT 4.0 which was released shortly after Windows 95. you're probably thinking of Windows ME, which was released at the same time as Windows 2000 (ME was the home version, 2000 the business). ME was a total piece of crap, while 2000 went on to become the foundation for Windows XP

Bumping an old thread, but big news. Blizzard is getting rid of the auction house (gold and real money!)

But as we've mentioned on different occasions, it became increasingly clear that despite the benefits of the AH system and the fact that many players around the world use it, it ultimately undermines Diablo's core game play: kill monsters to get cool loot. With that in mind, we want to let everyone know that we've decided to remove the gold and real-money auction house system from Diablo III.
We feel that this move along with the Loot 2.0 system being developed concurrently with Reaper of Souls™ will result in a much more rewarding game experience for our players.

Wow.

Didn't the say many times that they can't get rid of the auction house?
EDIT: Yes they did...last paragraph.

I think this is a good thing. You won't necessarily need OP gear to be successful at the endgame content.
It brings some skill back to the game, whereas today it's become mindless farming for leet gear.

Its kind of ironic, because the only thing that kept me playing D3 so long is that I was able to sell enough in the RMA to almost pay for the game. Now, it is just sitting there. I was going to use it for the expansion, but I might save it for Hearthstone.

I can't put my finger on it but the console version is just more fun and it's not just due to the exclusion of the auction house.

Holy crap! That's amazing! I may have to actually load the game back up and try this thing again.

I find its the loot in the console version that makes it exciting. I didn't get my first legendary until well after I hit 60(in PC), getting them consistently is a lot more fun.

Also the auto-aiming somewhat makes it a little easier even in difficult modes but no doubt cool loot = more fun.

ah yes auto aiming is pretty nice, annoying at times but mostly good. The auto follow is amazing, when playing with another player and they stop they automatically start auto following which just blows my mind.

Figured I'd use this thread rather than the gaming thread.
Tried the Demon Hunter for a little bit, seems a lot slower than the Barb/Monk in terms of progression. Is this actually the way it is, or just how the class starts out before it gets all its stuff?
Cause for the first while it seems the primary class mechanic is kiting.

Slower start but far more fun once you get up there in levels. Mines a paragon 17 and she rapes, pillages and murders score of mobs. think I am rocking mp5. havent been in for a while so I don't know if they've dummied down the Monster Power rankings.
EDIT: The only things I usually kite are Blue and Gold monsters. Everything else is being laid to waste with relative ease.

It's different now. There are I believe 5 difficulties. Easy, Hard, Expert, Master, and Torment. Within Torment difficulty there is a slider where you can increase the difficulty up from Torment I to Torment VI.
I believe MP10 is comparable to what Torment I or II is now, and Torment VI will be 10x as difficult as MP10.
