Cue the posts on how falling back and defending for a draw away to Swansea is tactical brilliance.
I doubt you'll see that. It was obviously bad, and we're not spin doctors like Moyes. :P

There's a trend developing. Attack in the first half, then sit and soak pressure for the second.
That they (a) had no answer to Swansea or (b) were content to defend a draw with 30 minutes remaining is worrying.

I was being sarcastic given that he has been so obviously bad. Does not look like a PL footballer.
Yeah, that strategy isnt going well. I'm hoping that its more about the in-game swings of momentum than any actual tactical plan. In the first half they practically played Swansea off the pitch and then in the second half they couldnt even string 3 passes together after the tying goal.
Aspas does not look good, and the team looked lost after Coutinho left. I'm hoping Aspas comes good, but he does not look like a PL player. He goes down too easy and I think thats a combination of being fairly small and getting out-muscled and being used to the Spanish league where free kicks are given if you so much as fart on an opponent.
Hanging on for dear life at the end of the game is a terrible strategy. Just ask Brent Sutter how well that went.
In other news I thought the refereeing was excellent. Great flow to the game. Also, Sakho has great potential.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Sakho looked terrible. Liverpool in general looked very tired and lethargic in the last twenty minutes, they never really threatened at all. Suarez can't come back soon enough as far as I'm concerned, at least he hustles and closes down defenders late in matches.

I think it's a bit early to criticize Sakho. He was a very good player at PSG, and he is lacking match fitness right now. He was also playing with a back line that's already needed to use 8 players due to injuries. I think he'll prove to be a good quality player.

I hope you're right, he must have been half decent if Liverpool paid so much for him. I was cringing every time the ball went anywhere near him, he looked absolutely lost out there, like he hadn't played football before in his life.
