From the Info Given sounds like the Coolant Temp Sensor, But the nature of the beast could be Therm/Coolant But I would imagine it is a bad temp sensor. Can leave you with long cranks, or no start situations. Get new temp sensor, therm should be done based on Km's and new coolant.

It's a Coolant Code, also Nissan's are a pain in the ass for Air Flow Meter problems AKA Mass Air Flow sensor.

Sounds to me (after listening to the flikr vid) like a timing issue.
By any chance, before this happened, could you hear a rattling sound coming from the front of the engine?

If yes, you probably have a slipped or damaged timing chain. These cars are prone to timing chain tensioner problems and once they seize or get gummed up the timing chain gets slack and it slips and your timing is now way off.

I haven't heard any rattling or anything when it drove. It sounds alright, but looks of it I'm going to try to replace the Coolant sensor and if it doesn't work well... off to the mechanics I suppose

After listening to it, yes it certainly does sound like a lack of fuel. Even though there might be pressure and fuel coming through, there may not be ENOUGH pressure as your fuel pump is on its last legs. A dirty fuel filter could mimic it as well.

I had a older vehicle once and this exact thing was happening. It would crank over and over and over and only start sometimes...

Turned out to be the Crank Sensor. I see that you have already checked the Cam sensor, but give the Crank one a try.

After I got that replaced the car started beautifully... that is until my alternator died and my battery drained!!

Oh the wonders of older vehicles

I bet it's the fuel filter. I have to change mine every 3 months due to dirty gas in my town. Sounds similar and I bet it's never been changed before.

i'd like to hear more about the dirty gas in town - can you expand on this thought. do you have a list of towns with clean gas?

Aww, common pylon, especially working for VW you should realize that alternator gaskets are a thing. Audi has used liquid cooled alternators on several applications. I had my aux rad go once. That's right. A radiator just for the alternator

My bad, I was really thinking it was the Piston Switch.

OP, check your Piston Switch.

is it just me, or is it almost epic that the OP posted a link to some video/audio of his car not starting?

Thanks everyone for your input. I ended up going to a mechanic to get it checked out. They got the car working and said the engine was flooded... Possibly from a weak battery. However English wasnt their first language so it was difficult to understand to ask them questions.

They said I needed "maintenance"... Not sure what that means. But hopefully that can help some one

Oh just great, that doesn't mean diddly squat. Sounds like you are fixed up but IMO doesn't seem transparent at all, I would like to know what you are charged for.

It was a $75 diagnostic fee. I talked to another mechanic and he said it very well possibly could be just from a weak battery as it hovers around 13? However that model sentra is known to be a hard starter from fuel pump. But the clutch is also worn out and coolant needs a change along with a ect and thermostat.

So not too sure if the car is going to be worth all the upgrades
