I would like to join, but as a word of caution I still have this 8 hrs time difference from Calgary. The thing that differs this time is that I've started studying at university so I will be a lot more available your evenings (7-11PM Calgary time). So I am more than willing to give it a try!

Alright, twenty owners isn't half bad, we even have all day to hopefully add at least five more? Are we still set to start selecting teams tomorrow or should we maybe consider holding off for another day or two?

I think we will proceed with our team selection beginning tomorrow. The league will still be open to anyone who wants to join, they will just be placed at the end of the draft order and can select from the teams still available.

Hey everyone - check this thread tomorrow for the order of the team selection draft and the draft itself.

Once you've made your selection you need to send a private message to the next guy in the draft to let them know they are up.

Not to worry. We will be able to see our teams on the 10th/11th (13th for you) but we won't be playing games until the end of September.

Just to clarify, for those that were not part of the NHL 13 league or may not be aware, this draft is for selecting your team, not players.

The team selection draft is only for selecting your team's city, arena, and uniforms. The team rosters will be randomized, and no one will be able to see the team rosters until after NHL 14 is released, and after jedaco opens the league for us to join on our consoles.

Each team usually ends up with a selection of star players of varying position, but there's no way to tell how good of a team you'll end up with.

Thrilled to have the draft starting today even though I'm a little disappointed where I'm drafting but at least I won't be stuck with the Oilers or Canucks

Sure thing. Jedaco will add you to the list of GM's. You'll likely end up with the 21st overall pick in the team draft.
