So far for keepers I was going to go
QB Brees
QB Luck
RB Ray Rice
WR Vincent Jackson
WR Crabtree
TE Witten
I have Vic Ballard and Ronnie Hillman as other RB options. I know Crabtree is out for a bit, but he pretty much won the championship for me last year as him and Kaepernick hit it off, so I think I lean to keep him as there is 1 IR spot. Should I keep Hillman and try to hancuff him to Ball with my first pick? Or just keep Ballard and hope he gets more of a roe in a West coast offence? Keeping in mind....3 teams needing 3 QB's means that 4 teams are really scraping the crapper or a bye week QB in a season that's only 11 weeks. So really if I'm not using all 8 keepers I should be trying to get the best bye week fill in at QB that I can.
|
I probably wouldn't give up a 5th for Crabtree, or a 6th for Witten, but that's me.
I'm in 2QB leagues as well - you're obviously doing great at that position. If I were you I'd be getting picks as high as I could to invest in younger talent at RB, or even a QB like EJ Manuel. If I can keep 8 in a 12-team 2QB league I'm looking to keep a 3rd QB so I'm never stuck without a QB2.
I'm not big on Ballard until Bradshaw gets hurt, and Montee Ball isn't impressing in Denver. There's no point handcuffing Hillman to Ball - I think these two end up both getting work but not enough to make either of them really valuable enough to give up a high pick for.

It is pretty ridiculous. Got Lynch off waivers a few years ago and have kept him ever since. Wilson and Matthews I snagged at the end of last year just for this purpose...some sleepy owners in the league.
But 36 players in total will be kept so it makes it hard to throw Rogers back in the pool, I also draft 12th out of 12.

Can someone direct me to CP's fantasy football league? I'd love to join this season.
NVM - I'm an idiot. Just saw it.

Need some opinions. I'm in a keeper league and have already 3 players in mind to keep but my 4th keeper a WR I'm undecided. DeSean Jackson, Torrey Smith and Antonio Brown. My initial decision was Smith, but with Maclin out in Philie I'm thinking about going with Jackson...but still undecided. I have a few days to make my final decision.

I'm not too in touch with the goings on in Pittsburgh, but the same could be said for Brown. With no Wallace and a much more stable Qb situation I would consider keeping Brown

No Bolden for the Ravens, you could say the same with them.

It's close but I'd go Smith then Brown.

I had the same conundrum yesterday and went with Torrey Smith.
Here's my roster BTW. I'm in a 12 team league. Feel free to criticize it if you want.
QB Matt Ryan, ATL
RB Maurice Jones-Drew, JAC
RB Adrian Peterson, MIN
WR AJ Green, CIN
WR Torrey Smith, BAL
WR Jordy Nelson, GB
TE Tony Gonzalez, ATL
K Matt Bryant, ATL
DST Patriots
Reserves:
QB Jay Cutler, CHI
RB Zac Stacey, STL
WR Brandon LaFell, CAR
WR Golden Tate, SEA
TE James Casey, PHI
I think I did alright. Zac Stacey is who I'm most interested in. He could be a good sleeper pick.

Not a big fan of Stacey as I personally believe he's the number 3 in STL and it's likely he'll be on waivers in most leagues. Looks like a pretty solid team especially for a 12 team league. how did AJ Green fall that far?

I have the best team of my life this season I won't bore you with the details but I snagged Adrian Peterson, Doug Martin and Jamaal Charles.
Also snagged Zach Sudfeld who I hope ends up being the steal of the season.

How in the world did you get those three RBs? Are they all starting too?

Also, it sounds like the RB situation is going to be much worse now for Pittsburgh with Bell hurt for an extended period. If that means Big Ben has to throw more than Brown should have some nice fantasy numbers this year.
As far as the Arian Foster talk goes, according to Yahoo he is good to go.
Quote:
Finally, a bit of positive news. As first reported by Adam Schefter, prized rusher Arian Foster was activated from the PUP list early Wednesday. Sidelined with calf/back injuries, he is expected to return to the practice field in short order. Ben Tate is slated to start Houston's preseason clash against New Orleans this week, but if all goes smoothly, Foster should be ready to shoulder the load Week 1.
It's time for the skittishness to cease. In a run-first system tailored perfectly to his skills, the multi-time Pro Bowler still deserves top-five recognition. Tate will ease the burden, but another 22-25 touches per game for Foster are on the menu.

I picked 11th in a 14 team league:
QB: RG3, Alex Smith
RB: Spiller, MJD, Lacy, Michael Bush, Shonn Greene
WR: Roddy White, Antonio Brown, Justin Blackmon, Denarius Moore
TE: Gronk, Fleener
K: Bullock
D: Colts
Not too happy with Fleener as a TE while Gronk is out, but do any of you guys think Dickson/Eifert/Crabtree is a better option?
Also I know we have some Raiders fans on here, who is going to be their #1 WR? If it is Moore I'll hang on to him, but if it is Streater I'll have to pick him up. Thanks

10 team league? For the most part it looks like a solid group to get started with.

Let's talk strategy here, we have our draft next week and I have first overall (obviously going to be AP) but then don't get to pick again until 24th being a snake draft. That being said i'm hoping to grab a second rb at 24 (hope a guy like spiller falls of the radar and everyone gets caught up in the qb's and WR) and then take a qb with #25
thoughts?

Yeah I think you can still get a decent 2nd tier back at 24 (Bush, Gore or Mcfadden type)and grab a nice QB at 25 (Romo, Luck, Eli type). You almost certainly have to grab a WR with your next pick if not two.
