well to be honest I stopped listening to such claims by managers a long time ago. Ferguson for example was once asked about the possibility of selling Ronaldo to Real and he basically answered that he wouldn't even sell a virus to Real. Nevertheless, Ronaldo moved to Real shortly after. I don't think we can believe everything the managers say. When Ferguson said that he had no intention of buying another player, we fans knew that actually a bid was imminent. There's a lot of smokescreen involved and the managers use the media to calm down fans and play down rumours. So to me, Moyes' comments aren't so relevant.

I love when the media portrays clubs as being somehow deeply offended over transfer bids, when really it's just business..."insulting", "derisory", "disgraceful", "disrespectful". Give me a break.

So with Willian pretty much a done deal and Lamela on the horizon I would wager Bale is pretty much going to be cashed in.

Sounds like it's going to be for around £93M, with Coentrao coming back as part of it.

ya Willian was pictured at a London Hotel today, and put up a picture out for Dinner in London
word is the medical is done, and this article
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...ass-radar.html
says Roma's director was in London today to talk about Lamela, Italian journos said Lamela's agents were here too

add in Coentrao being swapped for Bale (or the Modric money) and we are so much better than last year not only the starting XI but the depth

Baldini might be signing of the summer

I just don't understand how Real can afford Bale. They're in arrears on Modric.

However if you get a player that can help in return, then you can call it fair. I hope they don't sell him for straight cash, unless it's an offer that United can't refuse.

Chelsea got more than their fair share of help from the ref tonight what with Ivanovic grabbing the winner when he should have been redded earlier and the missed penalty call in the dying minutes on the obvious JT handball.
 Brutal.

The media are welcome to him. For me a lot of it seems a bit unnecessary.

Let's get er done. I feel it's going to trigger a few significant moves once done. I'm guessing (dreaming) Ozil to United could happen.

Then Rooney scores the gwg next Monday. Moyes shakes Jose's hand at the end of the game and tells him that he's finally decided to sell. Mourinho then does his usual media whoring about how he always gets his man and the media lap up the Rooney to Chelsea stories.

Rooney is sold to Arsenal the next day.

The club confirmed that the striker was excused from this weekend's match against Everton on 'compassionate grounds'.

That was the perfect penalty shootout, Anelka, Ronaldo and JT missed.
Anelka also missed in the World Cup Final right?
