Once again, because YOU think Fall Out Boy is 1 000 000 times better than Duck Sauce it doesn't make it a fact.
I think Duck Sauce is absolutely horrible, but still better than that Fall Out Boy embarrassment. What makes your opinion more valid than mine?
Huh??? I really don't know where you get that idea. I said "to each their own". You can have your opinion. I have mine. I disagree with you. You disagree with me. There's nothing to discuss. I won't change your mind and I don't really want to try.
moving on...

23 pages now on changing the goal song. And really, at the end of the day, it won't matter much this season and perhaps next with the amount of goals the Flames will score anyway.
But anyway...my opinion is more valid than Cs...

That Fall Out Ball song just sounds too vanilla ... there's not enough roughness there. Too much trying to stick with the Flames really limits choices and in the end, does it really need to be fire themed?

The fire theme makes it ours. Anything else just seems generic to me, like Gold on the Ceiling for example could be any team's goal song. So as a Flames song, it just seems kinda random.
A fire theme doesn't make it ours. It being the song associated with our goals makes it ours. Any team can use a song with fire/flames/burn in the chorus.
Any chance we could get a mockup of how ya like me now by heavy? I thought I would like the fob song more than I did while ratm turned out much better than i thought.
As of right now I think I like the monster truck one the best.

I think with our crop of rookies, Big Time would be a sweet goal song. It is Irksome for opposition players.
Come on, AC. Pretend like the weather is terrible!
Flames have an advantage that majority of other teams don't, and that is there are a lot of songs that have a fired themed chorus. It's harder to connect a team logo identity to a mainstream song because quite frankly there aren't many of them; and many of those available don't work well as a goal song. Hard to find good goal songs that are whale themed for Canucks, or Oil themed for Oilers, Leafs themed for Maple Leafs, ect.
Flames have the luxury of have numerous fire theme songs that can work for goal celebrations. So it's not a bad thing if we focus more on picking a song that is fired themed, because by itself it's unique than any other teams goal songs.

For those that wanted to hear Light 'em Up with a harder riff.... check out how it was used for a recent Penguins promo. When it kicks in, it works extremely well, IMO. Crank it up for best effect!

Cant agree more, hate the band all you want it doesn't take away from the fact the song works flawlessly. Silly to base ones opinion on the fact the band may be somewhat of a let down.
Just my 2 cents, its not worth much.

As much as I like RATM,this seems like it would be awesome in an arena setting and would really get the crowd pumped.
Heard this song on the drive home from work today and came here to post it. Beaten to the punch, but this song definitely gets my vote! The crowd can get into it by chanting, it's upbeat and we can check off the fre theme box.
I like the FOB song. People need to get over the 80's songs. The last thing we need is to live clinging to the 80's where we won our one and only cup and drown in the kool-aid that tastes like oilers-ade.
It doesn't HAVE to be a fire song, but it's kind of a nice touch if we can include it, isn't it?
