I dont think so. I might be talking about something else. Like you see a set with a 7-6 score...it would be cool to see a stat like "non-service points/rallies won". You could see see how many games they scored 30 points or got it to deuce. Break points only shows how many times they got to 40 or advantage.

the importance of those could vary hugely depending on how many 1st serves are going in. if the server is throwing down aces and unreturnables on most of their 1st serves, even a 0% 2nd serve win wouldn't matter too much.

blah...tennis shouldn't have so much math. just gives us total number of points won on serve and return, or total time on serve. actually I like IBM's momentum graph at the slams, sums up all the nasty numbers in a visual my Neanderthal brain can understand.

Maybe combine the service points and non-service points together for a plus/minus stat on rallies won vs lost

Exactly, I don't need a big server, power baseline striker, or great net play.

Winning Rallies win the game, games win the sets, sets win the game.

Find me players who just win more rallies! Its like the tennis equivalent to the On Base Percentage

Serena has certainly had a few unforced errors....but Bouchard is rallying really well so far...shes placing the ball really well making Serena run all over the court
