I would prefer to get kicked in the nuts before every Flames game.

The only upside I can see would be when Hartley finally snaps and tears his head off his shoulders with his spine still attached, ala Mortal Kombat, when Zherdev coasts back to the bench for a shift change while pinned in his own zone. Again.

Good call! That way if he reaches his maximum potential as superstar of the league we're saving cap space when we need it!

I'm always reminded of a compilation made by Swedish Television whenever I hear his name. They followed him during an entire game and then made a video where you could see how he just hung out next to the boards in the middle of the ice while the rest of the team played defence. I can't find it on Youtube though...

If the NHL had non guaranteed contracts for players like this then sure, give it a whirl.

The guys got too many character and pouting issues and I don't give a pffft issues to risk dollar one.

If he wants to come as a training camp invite on his own dime and earn a 2 way contract then sure. Other then that don't want him in the locker room with a bunch of young guys learning to be a pro.

I still can't believe that we still don't have non guaranteed contracts. A lot of players would actually start giving a damn and working harder so they don't get cut.

Zherdev pass i would rather have the Flames develop a young winger prospect at the NHL level then see the likes of Zherdev.

Sounds like his life isn't going very well lately. Getting into a fight, a crashed Bentley and a pending divorce:

Maybe with a two-year lockout.
