Besides Rifleman, my other accounts are Datsookin, AlbertGQ, Bertuzzied, CaptainCrunch, and Bingo.
Hehe.

I kinda have to laugh how you have these other accounts and created your own little fanboys and if they're not your accounts then I find it a little disturbing that they made you their little fanboy. Kinda creepy.

Do you have scouts watching so you are worried about your +-/?
I am just confused, I don't get it.
|
Nope, not worried about +/-. I just think the 2 minute penalty is worth it if it prevents a goal and helps the team win. It's amusing how almost half the replies here are people butthurt about a tripping penalty. If it were that bad, why would it only be 2 minutes? If it were serious business like people are saying here, why not throw the player out of the game?

Kinda creepy, like little girls following me around in this thread telling people what a big mean hockey player I am? Yeah, I find that more creepy.

Oh please, if you weren't looking for this type of response you wouldn't have worded it they way you did. You're a typical Internet troll looking for any attention, even better if it's negative attention. And as someone who has torn my MCL being tripped in floor hockey, you are much more likely to injury someone in floor hockey vs ice hockey due to the lack of protective equipment. Maybe you could just try not being a #%$&-weed.

I'd say ball-hockey dude is the one who's butthurt. "Sob... I started a thread and no one's talking about what a good d-man I am."

Well, I'm sorry to hear you tore your MCL when you got tripped. Those are not fun injuries. I wouldn't wish that even on players I hate. But internet troll? Not likely. You can view my posting history and see if it says "internet troll" to you. Chances are, it doesn't. However, I can't say I'm not very amused at the frothing hysteria the clucking self-righteous brigade responded with.
Anyways, it's not likely the whiners are really going to change the way I play. I guess they can rest easy in the fact that I'm not in the trip vs. breakaway scenario very often at all, and I've cultivated enough of a good reputation that most people will see it as an accident and think nothing of it when it does happen.
Now haters, please cry moar!!

A player on the other team being injured IS an advantage, but he never said he purposely tries to injure other players to gain that advantage
Regardless, giving up a penalty shot is a good penalty to take, it gives your goalie time to get his bearings and figure out what he's going to do instead of using gut instinct on the fly

Am I the only one that hopes that one of the 'haters' happens to be someone this ###### decides to intentionally trip (after admitting that part of the motivation is the potential to injure someone) who then gets up and lands a great right hook to his jaw?
I mean I get it when people get caught up in a game and go a little too far, I've done that myself, but to premeditate it and be so smug about it makes me want to see you get a taste of your own medicine.

Yeah, but that's probalby what pisses people off.
A normal person would say "Of course there is the chance I could hurt someone by tripping them intentionally, and that would make me feel kinda crappy"
A hudge ###### says things like "Plus there's the chance you could hurt the guy, and that would be an advantage to my team".
Normal person logic:
Not potentially ruining someone's game/season/career > minor perceived advantage that may lead to winning a rec ball hockey game
###### bag logic:
Winning a rec ball hockey game > EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

I bet OP is the same guy who intentionally fouls players right before an easy lay-up in pick-up basketball because "no easy baskets", or takes as many walks as possible in softball because "getting on base is all that matters" or slides studs up, like Troutman said.
Echoing others, what the hell is competitive ball hockey? Are you getting paid to play? And even if you were...it's still ball hockey. What's next, competitive "ultimate" frisbee?

I'd be willing to be that the OP wears a tinted visor and jersey #69 to his ball hockey games.

So, what you're saying is that you are actually a ###### and you just pretend to be a good guy. And this good guy act allows your inner ###### to come out every so often and in the hopes that people don't notice it cause you're very good at pretending to be a good guy.

There are lots of ball hockey "heros" out there. I've played a bunch through Superleagues and CSSC and it's definitely more chippy than ice hockey. Can't really pinpoint what it is, but there seems to be lack of etiquette and respect sometimes.
Should go into the RGMG thread, but ball hockey heros really grind my gears.

I don't wear a tinted visor because the helmet would mess up my fro-hawk. And I only don the 69 jersey after I've taken off my Tap-Out t-shirt.

I realize you are probably already set in your ways and look down on ball hockey, but it is actually a very fun variant of hockey. Quite similar to ice, and quite different all at the same time.
As a dman I probably wouldn't take down a guy deliberately, but if I had a decent shot at diving and getting the ball and accidentally getting the guy...sure. I'll also try my best to slash the guys stick at an opportune moment.

No no, I'm just interested to know what it is, because I first thought it would be floorball but checking these posts it is not.
Ok, I researched a bit, it's like hockey & floorball combined I see. The not-skating comes from the floorball, and the equipment from hockey, so basically it's hockey for people who can't skate?

I think the more accurate question is what the hell is floorball?
