Can anyone recommend a few good workout/pregame songs for me? I go through phases and lately really like 'Clique' (kanye et.all), 'Gotta have it' (Kanye and Jay Z) and 'I get money' (50). Not the greatest songs ever, but just stuff I really like for this! I would like to change it up though. Any ideas?
If you're looking for hip hop to workout to, check out stic.man's The Workout. Musically, it's nowhere near the same level as the Let's Get Free album he put out as half of Dead Prez (hard to believe that came out 13 years ago, but still so underrated), but it definitely pumps me up to hit the gym.

Holy Grail was garbage to me. Didn't have great production, experimentation, flow, it just flat out fell flat to me. Than again, I'm one of the few people in the world that sees nothing interesting in Jay-Z aside from the singles he releases (in general I don't like his albums or style).
On the other hand, what's the deal with Eminem's CD? Any word on when it's going to be released?
Holy Grail is an incredibly lazy album. The production is alright, the lyrics are abysmal and actually kind of laughable. Should have bowed out back in 2003 with the Black Album.

Rumor has it Jay-Z did MCHG in two weeks, and in my opinion, that's extremely obvious. It's just terrible.
Most of the songs I couldn't even listen all the way through, I either got bored or just didn't like the song.
At first I only liked a couple tracks but it's starting to grow on me. By no means is it his best work but it's not terrible. Definitely not as bad as everyone is making it out to be.

Has anybody heard the Acid Rap album by Chance the Rapper? It's a free download and it's pretty good. At first I hated his voice but I'm definitely starting to come around. The track with Ab Soul is probably my favorite one.

I don't buy it at all. Marketing genius at work. People who like it will say, "look at the great work he did in so little time", while apologists who don't like it will say, "imagine what he can do if he had more time". The guy probably started the rumor to pat his own back. He gets credit this time around for milking the public with a lacklustre product.
