He's dangerous on the PK and maybe a change of scenery playing at home will bring another level out of him.

TSN has him down as a LW or RW. Which would help the log jam at LW situation if true.

if he really signs for us, it'll be "interesting" during the next few days. Canucks fans will probably swarm this place to tell us how crappy he is.

Great signing. He can pass on all his diving knowledge and embellishment skills to all the new young guys!

Guess two of our LWs will play on the off wing. Hudler did it last year.
If true as Natural LWs we have Hudler, Cammy, Baertschi, Glencross, Galiardi, & Raymond.
That is 6! top 9 LWs.
Edit: As mentioned TSN has him as a LW/RW guess we can move him to the RW then if true.

Actual contracts expired on the 1st didn't they?
True free agency.....that's what I thought.

curious about the caphit.
i'd rather give bozak 4-5 than raymond that amount. don't we already have too many wingers anyways?

he's incredibly frustrating
like incredibly, for the first 10-15 games last year he looked great and everyone thought it was the full off-season from the back injury had finally helped him
and then the rest of the season he just didn't have it, stopped battling as much, had no finish etc.
at worst he's an average 3rd liner who is a great pk'er but there's a chance that a 20-25 goal scorer is still in there
if it's between 2-3m I think it's a no risk deal for a team in the Flames case

We REALLY need to trade 2 or 3 wingers now. Simply too many on the team.

Question is who goes now? Cammy is an obvious choice but I'm curious who the other body might be.

He's a local boy, too. Hopefully if this is true, it's for no more than $2.5 per....

I would like this signing depending on cap hit and term (3 years at $3M per would be nice) and as long as there isn't a NMC or NTC attached.

Isn't he usually good for a goal per game against the Flames?

Most of my canuck fan friends have not liked him since his 50 point year. I have no doubt they will be laughing at me. There is a place for him and pretty much any player in the NHL, on a rebuilding team. Not so much for teams that are some what playoff bound.

Yeah I think this lands somewhere 3/4 years at 3.0-3.25 per season.

Does anyone know what the Fan960 actually said in regards to this? Are we all jumping the gun here?
