I have had a reminder in my phone for 2 months June 30 Dexter day. Sunday night TV won't be the same after Season 8 ends until Game of Thrones returns.

I don't know I think you need at least 6. I think people underate Season 5. Mostly because it was a letdown from the epic season 4.

Season 1 was excellent
Season 2 Keep Lundy plot, Need to get Dexter Married at end of Season 2.
Season 3 Delete
Season 4 Best Season leave exactly the same
Season 5 I thought this was a good season with the whole dexter rehabilitating someone. I think I would keep it in and only change having Deb find out at the end when she finds Dexter behind the curtain.
Season 6 Delete
Season 7 Leave as is
Season 8 the end.

So I think only Season 3 and 6 didn't really service the development of Dexter and Deb. Other than that everything is required. I would also combine season 7 and 8 into one extended plot and leave Hanna in season 8. We don't know if that will happen or not.

Maybe I missed something, but where did she find the drawings exactly? Not sure how it connects Dexter to being a serial killer though? Many people draw dumb #### like that as kids, but that doesn't mean they grow up to be serial killers.

Since she knew about Harry's code, I think it will turn out that Harry turned to her for help when Dexter was a kid and starting drawing those pictures, and she probably came up with the idea for The Code as a way of treating Dexter. This would make her responsible for all of Dexter's kills, which would qualify her for the Code, and she'll end up being Dexter's final kill.
