Think i am out of thanks. I agree.
I will take those 3 any time of day, considering what i thought might happen.
Thought they would trade one latter pick for a 27-29 year old NHL player.
Also thought they would go with Fuacle and Petan. Like what we got a lot more.

I have neither criticized the management nor the posters.

Feaster is the GM of an NHL franchise in a hockey crazy country; the notion that he is above criticism is naive.

Take a lot at the top 10 picks over the last 5 years? How many were as great as Pierre and the morons at TSN said they would be? Therefore how the bloody hell does anyone know who will turn out and who wouldn't? Teams have their rankings based on what their own scouts feed them in terms of information plus the interviews they do. No two lists are the same, and no list is based on what Central Scouting says.
Nobody here has a clue if Jankowski will be that #1 center we need, but he is progressing rather nicely, so that off the board pick looks to be turning out SO FAR.
Give these kids a chance. The Chucko pick was a disaster, but who knew that when they drafted him?
|
not sure if you have confused me with someone else, however, I never said that flames recent drafting has been a disaster. Rather that it is unknown at this point. That's fact.
None have played in the NHL aside from Sven for any significant period of time, so I don't know how anyone can characterize that as success? The metric for successful drafting is players in the NHL and their points/play in the NHL.
With respect to Jankowski, I don't know if he is going to be an NHL player but neither do you. All you have to judge him by is his stats in the NCAA. Do you think those stats were good?
Seemed fairly average to me. But as someone will surely say, I am not a scout, so my opinion is moot.

He's going to have to do more than a couple decent deals to earn my trust, especially when he's mixing them up with near disasters.

Let it out man, I honestly think Calgary has issues as well, but I think Feaster genuinely wants to fix them.
He was handed a team that clearly needed to rebuild. He really needs to win a trade as well.
I know many don't share this opinion, but the Flyers aren't a well run organization either. They are exactly like the Flames of 2003-2004. Estrada has a right to be pissed off over the trades, but again, I watch the draft for the draft.
Calgary drafted Olli Jokinen + Howse instead of Gormley, Lombardi, & Prust.

Robert Hagg, Oliver Bjorkstrand, Sven Andrighetto.
I'd like to see any of these players get to our next pick.

Incorrect. By characterizing posters as "over reacting" that is criticism.
at least my analysis was pointing out the fact that public figures are, and always have been, targets for criticism.
You "retort" was...succinct? Maybe your response this time will be better?
