I don't think it's even an idea to think about this right now. Things are changing so quickly in the Canmore area that no one will know for sure for a few days.

New list of places facing mandatory evacuations (at least partially):
Beltline
Bonnybrook
Bowness
Bridgeland Industrial Area
Chinatown/Eau Claire
Cliff Bungalow
Deer Run
Discovery Ridge
Downtown/East Village
Elbow Park
Erlton
Inglewood
Hillhurst
Mission
Montgomery
Quarry Park
Rideau
Riverbend
Riverdale
Roxboro
Stanley Park/Elboya
Sunnyside
Victoria Park
Westmount
Windsor Park
Does anyone know where Bridgeland Industrial area is? I like how the blog tell people to check the maps on Calgary.ca, which redirects back to the blog.

It is far to early to tell, this will take a few days before any solid info will be available. I am sorry but your better half will probably be in wedding melt down for the next 24 hrs or so until more info is available

Oh, and for those interested, the off ramp from Glenmore westbound to Northbound Deerfoot is closed because they are building one of those dirt berms there.

I know that we won't know for sure, but this is a big deal for us. Lots of money invested, people traveling from all over the continent, and one road to get to our destination. It may seem silly to do this now, but I'm trying to find out as much as possible and what to expect.

Just realized the 1A might not take you past that. I'm not 100% sure where the damage is.

The 1 a runs straight into that. Also seen pictures of a stretch or road around Exshaw that was wiped out as well.

Can't arrest people for that...and police manpower will be stretched to the max as is with patroling all the closed areas.
|
My point is unless you 100% have to be there, stay out. Traffic will be a mess, there is going to be a lot of cleanup to be done. Going downtown just to go downtown is just stupid.

Anyone know if scotia center will be open tomorrow? I figure it is far enough off the river to be fine but figured it was worth throwing out there anyways. Also will the c train be running in the morning or will I have to find another way to get across the river?(coming from Sait essentially)

It took over an hour. That's not "immediate". I wasn't wrong. I didn't say they shouldn't help CPS, but I was giving a suggestion as to why it would take over an hour, which it did.
