Iggy has played a one dimensional game since the Keenan years and I think that has soured some people on him as a whole, add the fact that he pulled a ######y move by not waiving to go to Boston after stating he would and you have a building case.
Plus you also have the situation where the Bruins winning improves our pick, be it one spot or two, and the case grows. Personally that's why I'm cheering for Boston, you just never know. In 2003 the difference between 28 and 30 was Corey Perry, I am willing to cheer against Iginla for that chance.
I have been a Bruins fan all my life and that will never change. A certain poster here taking shots at us can do it tell hell freezes over for all I care.

Iginla was horrible. worst player on the ice, slow as all hell. up until his great deke to the net, but that was it. Cooke was flying out there, albeit much less skilled.
I say that and i was cheering for Jarome all night.
I think we watched different games. Cooke was good and so was Iginla.

Don't forget the Islanders giving up Chara (and Spezza) for Yashin! Hard to believe that Chara (who was barely noticed in that trade) turned out to be a better player than both of them. Aside from the Thornton trade the Bruins are really good at robbing other teams in trades.
He isn't 2004 Iggy but he should still be able to be effective with just his strength, hockey sense, and shot.
I look at Handzus in Chicago and he been effective these playoffs even though he is even slower and his skills have deteriorated even more then Iginlas. Jagr's lack of speed doesn't seem to be impacting him either.
I think Iggy needs to reunite with D.Sutter in L.A. This off season. If he can make Regehr an effective hockey player again, I am sure he can show Iginla how to play a 200ft game and be effective again.
I couldn't ask for a better series so far. I want Pittsburgh to get swept in 4 by the team that Iginla rejected. Pittsburgh gets far too much attention and love because of their poster boy Crosby, and I'm glad they're on the verge of collapse.

That was an excellent game as Vokoun was very solid, but Tuukka Rask was better. As that second overtime went on I figured it would be a hook or a hold that would not be called and cause a turnover that would result in a goal. Jagr hooks Malkin which results in a turnover and Orpik, who probably should not have been playing, cannot cover Bergeron who tips in the puck.
I feel disappointed, after the trade I truly thought this would be the year Iggy would finally get his name on the Cup. Unless the Penguins can have a comeback for the ages, this is done.

I was really worried Crosby was going to win it in OT just a coulpe shifts prior to Bergerons goal when Crosby had his helmet off and was buzzing causing chaos. I thought helmet off NHL fairytale moment but Boston and Rask did enough to fend the moment away.
Not to get the Pen's fans hopes up. But the Bruins are the only team in the modern hockey era to blow a 3=0 lead in a series. Bruins need to learn how to finish.

ummm they already learnt that lesson the next year when they had Philly down 3-0 again and finished them.
