Agreed. He just doesn't fit a roll for a team like that anymore (leadership aside) as he doesn't seem to have the speed to be that one dimensional offensive threat anymore. No chance he would make the team to be anything but that scoring threat and that seems very unlikely.

Good thing Iggy never listens to his coach.

Besides Marchand who'd you say is a dirtbag on Boston?

Well on the bright side the 27th pick is better than 30th

True, I was thinking more for next year.
Still, I'm not sure they can really cheap out on goaltending given that they don't have an elite 2-way #1 defenseman. They might have to just bite the bullet and spend some assets on a young starter like Bernier and hope he can be better than what they're getting.

I would rather try and sign a guy like Mike Smith to a 4 or 5 year deal at an average of $5 million or less. Less long term risk.

Wow, that was a fun period to watch! Boston domination, love it.
Lucic-Krejci-Horton has been the best line easily of the playoffs. They are on another level right now. Horton is going to cash in as a UFA.

I think Fleury stinks, but the Penguins need to defense, and they need commitment to defense from their forwards.
Paul Martin and Kris Letang is a pairing that simply doesn't cut it as your top pairing in the playoffs.

The hype machine?
Lol
Yes it is hype that has badly outscored any other player when healthy.

Thornton, Lucic, and, ever since he's been a Bruin, Ference, but even if it was a team full of saints, Marchand is such a big dirtbag that he makes them a dirtbag team.

It will be 28th with the Kings losing... not much better than 30th at all.

Heaven forbid he gives a nudge back after Rask pokes him with a stick. What a FLUSTER he's having!

That's a much better idea for the Penguins. They have a stable of good young defensemen in the system and may have to use one to pry Bernier from the Kings. Luongo would be great for them but that contract really kills any long term flexibility and Malkin and Crosby will still be playing at a high level when that deal becomes an albatross.

I think he is going to be a huge bust as a UFA if he goes for cash over winning
he needs to be on a good team to be effective

Julien, Chara, Lucic, Thornton, Ferrence, Kelly, McQuaid, Raask, krecji and especially their fans are all guys I find very unlikable.
