He was speaking to a Quebec audience via a member of the Quebec media. Perhaps his point would have been better made if he had said "It's to Quebec's advantage," but it's not out-of-line for him to use the word "our" in that context.
And, of course, you're completely ignoring that he was explaining how the current system is unfair to Alberta and BC and that if Canada is to reform the upper chamber, then those provinces should have more senators.
Man, I'm far from a Trudeau fan, but at least criticize him over something of substance.
|
Oh there is plenty of "substance" here...its in his history.
Our, we, us....all referring to Quebec only...yup thats some solid federal leadership for sure.

What I would pay to be around Transplant if Trudeau ever becomes PM. I mean who wouldn't want to see someones head literally explode.

Well it's going to happen next election. Unless Rob Anders swoops in and saves the day for Harper. Unleash his muzzle!

With the amount of vitriol you display towards Trudeau, I actually think a sponteneous combustion is entirely possible. I mean you're going mostly insane in this thread and he still hasn't even won. I cannot imagine how you'll be if he does, but again, would love to be there.

That is intentional. It's manufactured outrage.
Anyways, speaking of pandering to Quebec, how come we still have supply management on dairy and poultry? The non-Quebec-pandering Conservatives have had a majority for two years now!

God partisans are so annoying, and the root of what's wrong with our political system.
Seriously, use some critical thinking.
Will Trudeau spell the end of Canada? Only if you are the most simple minded.

I think someone's lived in Alberta a bit too long. This quote is a pretty much a non-story in the rest of the country. Of course the rest of us also didn't try our hardest to take it out of context and spin it to look derogatory, so there's that.

Not necessarily at all.

Look at Table 1. Implementing Climate policy would have kept AB and SK's growth exactly in line with the rest of Canada.

Insane?
LOL...i am merely asking his apologists/supporters to explain his clear stance on pandering to Quebec as something beneficial to the rest of the country...you know...the country he wants to govern. The pacifist seperatist wants things for "us"..."us" being Quebecers only, I think thats absurd as a canadian.
Its very telling that you as a fanboy cant do so though and instead resort to personalizing it towards me. Its transparent and wont work with me champ.

I'm not sure thinking "Dear god he can't be much worse than Harper, can he?" makes SCD much of a fanboy.

Nah, I just hate ring wingers and conservatives, because they act like total #######s like Transplant. Maybe if you weren't such foaming at the mouth lunatics that if we don't agree with you we're wrong, evil, liberals, Marxists, Stalinists, Communists, Maoists etc..., we might actually be willing to engage with you, but whats the point? Don't know how many times it has to be said but disagreeing with you is not agreeing with the other side, its disagreeing with you, but thats never enough for the righties. Accept their way or get the #### out basically. Which explains why their voting base is one generation away from not even existing.

Explain how they comments were spinned? Are the words he said not what he meant to say? Did he not use the words 'We', 'Our', and 'Advantage' when refering to Quebec over Alberta and BC? Just answer yes or no. Truth is that you are the one trying to spin his comments as anything but how they were intended.

Conveniently leaving out this part to fit your views, or did you honestly just not read it?

Trudeau said, that will hurt B.C. and Alberta which are grossly under-represented in the Senate given their populations and economic clout.

Gauging the various posts by Liberal supporters on this board, I wouldn't really refer to any of them as Trudeau fanboys.
