I'm actually shocked that moon is defending Iginla.

I could see him ending up in Anaheim, especially if Selanne retires.

What were people expecting him to say?
"Hey Jarome, what do you think of Pittsburgh so far?"
"Meh, it's alright but I liked Calgary better"
It's sure as hell not his fault that this team is a mess, he did his job on the ice, it's not his job to draft or make trades. As long as he was a Flame his job was to try to win, management decides everything else.

Well it's the same insider who informed me the house was for sale which I made a thread on (that was locked) which was a couple of weeks before it listed so I stand by the source,

It sounds like it was Weisbrod driving the bus on these two but I heard/read that the Flames had all their scouts watching NCAA games during lockout.

Which makes me wonder how good his eye for talent really is. He supposedly had a lot of input in the Jankowski reach and since he joined the Flames have been all over the NCAA. He was probably the driving force with getting Bartowski in the Bruins deal so that's not bad but I'm not a huge fan of paying any more attention to the NCAA than it deserves. Like I said when you are trading your all-time franchise player how do you get back a guy in return that can't skate? Awful.

0% chance IMO.
Babcock was on Jim Rome today and was commenting that its easier to coach younger players and said the hardest players to coach are aging stars with declining skills. Kind of fits with the way he coached Iginla in the Olympics. I simply don't see Iginla as the type of player Babcock would want brought in.

Who cares? Not me. He more than likely will not return to Calgary, which is a good thing imo.

Had him on the first line in the most important game of the tournament?

Agostino is intriguing, but Hanowski ... man. It makes you worry that they're a little too in love with the NCAA players. It's also annoying that a list of teams turned into a list of team.

I could see Iggy ending up reunited with Darryl in L.A. They are a contending team and the nice weather would make for a nice place to wind down a career. The only way I see him staying in Pittsburg is if he takes a massive paycut.

At that point in the tournament, the Crosby line was the third line. The Toews and Getzlaf lines were #1 and #2. The Crosby-Iginla line, despite high hopes in camp, had not gelled, while the Toews and Getzlaf lines had rounded into dominant two-way lines.
So much revisionist history about that tournament.
