Please don't.

Because it does absolutely nothing. Its completely pointless, if its not enough to harm individuals its probably not enough to help.

that is bad logic... there are plenty of things that a little is very helpful and a lot is harmful.
things that some of it is great, too much is bad for people:
water
vitamins (even Vitamin C will give you the ####s if you take too much)
potassium
pretty much every other mineral especially the trace minerals you need.

He proved your point wrong that there is fluoride in bottle water the same as tap water... in reply you have tried to ignore the original statement that was made and call him a dick (but proved to be quiet dickish yourself in this thread)

I'm specifically referring to fluoride and nothing else. If 0.08 PPM of Fluorosilicic Acid in our drinking water isn't enough to harm an individual, how could that same amount have any effect on tooth decay? You would think it would require more fluoride in the water. Thats what I'm driving at.

Well you're wrong. And brutally so.
Sometimes I wonder what extremes of cognitive dissonance must be at play in people's minds to believe some of this conspiracy stuff.

As a chiropractor, there are many in my profession who are anti-fluoride in water, and they regularly cite articles from really obscure publications from China. I have yet to read a single thing in any mainstream medical literature that says there's anything wrong with water fluoridation. It's been going on for over 60 years in some parts of America, and there's been no documentations of any adverse effects that I can find.
I think people always assume that something "put in the water" is bad for them. But in the end, empirical evidence should always be relied on to make a judgement.
For my money, there's no problem with the very minor amount of fluoride put in drinking water.

"If a few mg of L-ascorbic acid isn't enough to harm an individual, how could the same amount have any effect not getting scurvy? You would think it would require more L-ascorbic acid".
How much of something is required to have a certain effect isn't guided by what one would think with their intuition, it would be dictated by the chemical processes involved. Some things require very small amounts, other many orders of magnitude more.

Well that's just your opinion. Its hardly "conspiracy stuff" if many other countries around the world don't fluoridate their water supply.

I'm not worried about a little fluoride being added to my water. I'm fairly sure there are all kinds of worse things that end up in there without being directly added by TPTB. We humans aren't a terribly responsible lot. *shrug*
The brouhaha over this ranks right up there with 'OMGOMGOMGOMGVACCINESAUTISM!'

I credit fluoride in the water supply with the fact I've never had a single cavity in my life despite terrible oral hygiene as a child. Every place should have fluoride in the water.

I have heard that for fluoride to be effective, it needs to be applied topically for longer than 30 seconds. This would include brushing your teeth or having it at the dentist. Simply drinking water and letting it pass through your mouth wouldn't do anything. Makes sense to me but since I have no link, just an opinion.

Yes, but Floride helps reduce the harm. What causes injuries in car accidents - it's bad driving, inattention, etc. but seat belts reduce the injuries. Should we cancel seatbelt laws and tell people to drive more safely?

I don't mean to be harsh, but it's almost impossible to give you any credibility in a scientific conversation given the total lack of sense in your previous post about requirements to help/harm.
You'd make a much stronger argument with more data.

Chemotherapy is a thing in the universe. If it's not enough to harm an individual, it's probably not enough to help.
So, is there like a prize or something that goes with that?

There is Fluoride in your toothpaste so as long as you are brushing your teeth 2-3 times a day this whole topic is moot.
Man there are a lot of angry people on this board.
