I don't see how you can say that is a questionable call. Dangerous hit and should be called, I hate when I see those types of hits they sometimes result is horrific injuries.

Common, you know it's not Nucks fans that riot, it's was other boys.

Yeah I wouldn't characterize him as defenceless there. He knows Sedin is there but took the impact in about the worst possible way.

If you are watching tsn highlights from the pittsburgh game they just showed cooke level crackner into the boards from about 2 feet away. Far more violent no call leads to a pit goal. Again the player wasnt defenseless at the time of the hit.

Bad call on the canucks

Guys, take off your anti-Canucks goggles for a second. It's okay.

That was not boarding. Shoulder to shoulder, and contact wasn't initially driven into the boards. Momentum drove them there, when they were already half way down. What else is he suppose to do if he wants to lay a solid check? Refs made a bad call.

Any word from Kerry Frazer?

I never liked him while active but he knows the rules and when he's watching with multiple replays I think his take is sound.

Will reserve judgement until I see his take.

When does the Vancouver riot coverage start? Should be any minute now.

That should have been a penalty on Cooke no question about it.

Gotta feel bad for sedin. First body check he's ever thrown and it costs them the series.

won't happen because they have all ready made their choice with Schnieder

but....

if you move Edler and Schnieder in seperate deals this summer for young forwards they could completely avoid having a potential rebuild in a few years when the Sedins 5on5 play starts to drop (it didn't this year)

plenty of teams need D/goaltending that have young potential top line guys they probably move (Philly/Winnipeg come to mind immediately)

And theres another one clutterbuck on seabrook. Again the player is not in a defenseless position therefore its not boarding.

Are you making the case that all of these players were in defenseless positions?

I know what the rule is. I don't believe that play falls into that category.

That guy

The Canucks got away with a couple of pretty blatant trips earlier in overtime, they were living on borrowed time.

The penalty call is irrelevant, the Canucks weren't great in this game and had put themselves in a position to lose this way.

You could almost call it a justice call based on the Canucks lack of dicipline.

Good bye AV

2 out of 3 on the TSN panel say it was a penalty. Fraser says it was a penalty.

The only one who didn't agree was Aaron Ward, and you know my thoughts on him.

Good luck with that. No one is going to want an overrated backup making $4mil/season.
