SAAN was made for people like Keith..(anyone remember that commercial??)
The fondest memory that I will have for Zellers was being a kid and a part of the Zeddy Bear club and getting a card in the mail for your birthday, which was the coolest thing ever..along with the occassional Cherokee and Bugle Boy jeans (Sad childhood)..now, unfortunately the only thing I get in the mail on my birthday are Pizza 73 flyers and an Enmax bill..good ol days!

Went into the Forest Lawn location last night. Friendly staff, and the store is very clean and organized. Other then that..not sure what else to say? Guess I wasn't blown away by any means but it's nice to have another store like Zellers/Walmart in the area I live (Erin Woods).

I miss the consumers distributors Christmas calender it was a lethal combination of an awesome toy section, and chicks in underwear.
They also made awesome shin pads for Shinny

I was going through my old Commodore 64 box the other week and I found a pack of Woolco brand pencils.
Ahhh the memories.

That Consumers catalogue was one of my fondest childhood memories. I remember leafing through the toy section of that catalogue countless times during Christmas time. It always had awesome themes on different pages, such as the Ghostbuster, Transformers, Voltron, and Ninja Turtle displays.

I was there at 8am this morning and it was already starting to get busy. The escalator for the shopping carts was pretty cool.

The cart escalator was already broken-down at noon.

I bought $200 of formula for my daughter saving around $10/case from Walmart or Superstore prices.

Pretty easy. It's something new. Life goes on in often a never ending series of repetitious boredom. So give us anything new and we are on it and just all gaga for at least a week or two.

Being the first to beat off in a secluded corner and calling "Dibs" on that store forever.

I walked around the Chinook location today for a bit and thought...wow Zellers cleans up really nice. Seems to have good selection, friendly staff who actually say hi and offer assistance. They will do well just because they put the effort in, Zellers could have put more effort into looking nice and maintained their stores better and had the same effect but I think they let things slide for far to long to recover.

But Target to me is another crap shack selling the same lower-end merchandise (pardon my ignorance). I read the National Post article today and they are saying something like "keeping Canadian dollars in Canada." But really we are still feeding the American owners.
