I have nothing against adults who smoke marijuana in a responsible manner, but designating a day or time of day for it every year is stupid. Especially when I hear stories about people going out of their way to do it at 4:20pm and then have to drive home after.
The "pot culture" is the worst thing to happen to the legalization movement.
woah, chill bro. Sit with me, have a sandwich, and we'll look at cool crap on the internet together.

Wow they have to drive home after? The "get ####faced every weekend and drive home" culture would be my bigger concern than people doing it at 4:20 one time a year.

Impaired driving is impaired driving.
It's never acceptable.

How do you know they have to drive home? Isn't that like looking in a bar and thinking every one in there is going to drive home drunk?
I just learned today that the druggies don't just smoke marijuana, they also vaporize it (whatever that means), and eat it! I had no idea.

Now that you mention it, I have. I thought people were just spooning the drug into their mouths like cereal.
I'm really not in the loop when it comes to this stuff. Fascinating, though.

While I agree, I'm always amazed that people that post this on 420 day, don't also post when this when this day rolls around. Yes, I do know it is a cultural and religous holiday, but not like this, which is what it now means to 99% of the people that celebrate it.
Do people also celebrate on days with the equivalent fraction as 4/20?
ie. 1/5, 2/10, 3/15, 5/25, and 6/30?

so what about drinkers celebrating St. Patricks day? That's also a bunch of adults getting together (and yes, for 99% of people it is only celebrated for the drinking aspect, not the actual meaning of the day) and drinking their faces off on a specific day.
No difference, imo. Except that one is more socially acceptable, and due to it's destructive capabilities it always baffles me why it's socially acceptable and pot isn't. I mean, I'd get if neither were socially acceptable, but it's crazy to me when people who get loaded turn to pot users and act like their into some crazy, mind altering crap that is illegal for a reason, and then go out on the weekend and.......alter their minds with alcohol.
EDIT: Whoops...yeah, what Zevo said.

I wish cops would progressively search people that reek of booze/chemicals/thai food/fried chicken. If you're dumb enough to go around reeking of booze/chemicals/thai food/fried chicken you deserve to get busted.
FYP.

Sounds like a great use of resources.
