I still think the Flames should pick Jones if they somehow win the lottery. I just think that he has the potential to be the biggest difference maker out of the all the choices.

Also with Berglund and Stewart getting $4/per year each.
The Blues will not come close to the cap. Before Bouw, they were pretty close to the floor. Stillman is running the Blues on a shoestring

They have about 26m to sign 10 players, not in cap hell but a lot of those pieces are big pieces.

Plus they have a tonne of RFA's that most likely won't sign 2 way contracts...expect big movement from the blues this year.

Screw that! I'm greedy and want both Droin and Mackinnon.

Might be stating the obvious, but if you click on the "g" (or any other header), it ranks it for you based on that category. So no need to scroll through it all.

Thing that worries me about the Flames scouting staff is that they'll pick off the board. Something like taking Lindholm @ 3 or something.

Is it possible that instead of this draft being all about the top four picks, could really be about the top seven? Lots of kids climbing fast into the top ten and not many players falling.

There could be movement but not sure why they would make the horrible deals to help Calgary like have been suggested here.

Plenty of other guys they would get rid of before Berglund and not for a late 1st round pick.

The Blues will move Perron, and maybe Stewart, before they move Berglund. And I doubt they re-sign McDonald.

How bad is it that I wouldn't even be super upset at that? That's when you know you're a groupie for a certain prospect

For the record, I would be upset ... but not the same as if we went off the board for someone else.

If the Blues are looking to move either of those guys, I hope the Flames kick tires on acquiring either of them. Both are still young enough to be part of a rebuild, and can help fill the major void we have at RW.

Plus, Perron isn't small by any means, but Stewart especially would bring the size and physicality we really need in our top six.

The Flames picking Lindholm when two of Jones/MacKinnon/Drouin/Barkov are still on the board should just be another reason to fire management.

I couldn't even express my anger if that were to happen. The Flames always seem to make themselves look stupid in situation like these.

Glad to see you're not overreacting, and blaming the Flames for not yet doing something they've never done before, based on a poster liking Lindholm. Get off the ledge, son.

Management really hasn't given the fans anything to feel confident about. Until they prove that they are competent, they should expect this type of fan reaction.

Whilst I'd agree with you that it would be bad value(as it is now), if we have the 3rd pick and take Lindholm, would you complain if he turns into a Zetterberg/Forsberg lite type? Zetterberg might not have the franchise label like an Eric Staal or someone like that, but they are huge players in building a good team. Taking someone with a low ceiling or high bust factor is the worst thing they can do up here - Lindholm is neither.

The fact is if they don't draft the guy TSN says they should or is next on Button's list people will be mad...even though none of us have spent any time scouting

Fine. Fan "anticipation" for a big screw up on draft day.

How much stock can we put into the fact that Drouin elevated his game at the World Juniors?

I just went through a bunch of YouTube highlights and the only thing that stood out for me was that Barkov looked slow in comparison to the other top prospects. I think I would take Monahan before him.

Lindholm looks impressive.

I no longer have any clue who to draft... but I guess I'm hoping for Drouin.

June 30th is going to be like Christmas Day.
