According to one of Brandon's facebook rants (so take that for what it was worth) it was a bunch of BS. I feel kind of sorry for him (Brandon), doubly so if all the stuff he ranted about after the season is true. The boy clearly needs help.
The part I found disturbing was the Probst was massaging him the entire time they were up there... disturbing because clearly that means that Brandon was so visable tense that Probst thought that he probably required that level of physical calming to avoid violence.

For a second there I thought Probst was going to let Brandon switch tribes in order to make things a lot more interesting. But, that wasn't going to happen when Brandon could have gone off at any second no matter which tribe he was on.
Who knows if the other trible would have even wanted him.

Good on Probts for recognizing the direction the conversation was heading and pulling Brandon as far from Phillip as he could.
Huge weight lifted off the shoulders of favourites now with that nut case out. We got a glimpse of about 5 minutes of crazy, imagine having to deal with it for days.
Brandon definitely isn't made for this game, entertaining, but not at all a player. Hopefully he gets it sorted out, but something tells me if he hasn't by now it won't happen any time soon.
Russell said in the last Survivor finale that he was done with the game and was going to move on for good. But who knows... you wave a chance to play in his face, tell him he won't be the only badly hated person on his tribe (Another Heroes vs. Villains type scenario maybe) and I think he would have a hard time saying no. You forget how bad the fire burns if you haven't stuck your hand near it for a while
Plus like others have said, a chance to win the 100k or whatever it is doesn't hurt either.
One thing I have noticed they are lacking for the past few seasons is a chance to win a car? When was the last time we saw that?

I just watched it. That was crazy time.
Members of his tribe seemed actually scared of him - or scared FOR him and what he might do to himself. Dawn especially.

Good point. Being stuck in pouring rain or 48 straight hours with a psycho, in close quarters and no one really able to sleep, tensions fraying. Yikes

Probst was doing his best to diffuse the situation and get Brandon out of the game and away from others as quickly as possible. There was no way he was sending Brandon back to camp to await tribal council. The best way was to allow Brandon to vent, pull himself from the game and try to calm down enough to get him away from everybody. Even when Probst sent him off he gave him detailed instructions of where to go and what to do. I'm guessing that even at that time he wasn't 100% sure Brandon wouldn't just suddenly snap and go directly for Phillip.
Honestly this was probably one of the best demonstrations as to why not many people could ever host Survivor and why the show is likely done when Probst says it's done.

So true. I'm always impressed at how skillfully Jeff handles tense situations. He is able to steer Q&A sessions to contain hostilities and yet reveal them at the same time, but this one definitely takes the cake.

Well his crappy daytime talk show was just cancelled, so it's not like he has very much else to do aside from hosting Survivor. At least until Trebek retires, since I think Probst might be primed to take that spot over someday.
One thing I would like would be for him to actually compete as a contestant one of these days. Just have an All-Stars season with him, Russell, Rob, Richard, Pavarti, and a few other longtime favorites. I think he would do just fine after watching so many people compete over the years; and he might not be voted out so early with other huge names in the game.
It's just an idea, but that could be the best season ever.

I wonder if they will ever do a celebrity Survivor, that would be a good time to slide Probst into the roster and bring Penner back as the host.

With this re-branding of tribes could it have gotten any more unfair?
Reynold, Malcolm, Eddie, Erik with two of the stronger women + Sherri, vs the weaker women and now Michael, Cochran and Philip.
That tribe will not last long at all.
Time for Malcolm and Reynold to take over the game.

Malcolm has to find that perfect medium where he is able to fly under the radar like last year, but not so far under that he lets himself get voted out. Reynold is a snake, maybe they some how reveal to each other they both have the idol and decide alright lets ally up we can turn the votes twice..
I love Corinne's confessionals, she is a truth speaker to the bone. I never credited her as being such a smart player, but it is coming back to me now. I think over anaylyzing and being over paranoid was her down fall last time as well.. I loved the part when she called Julia boring, that about sums it up. Salted is what I think of when I see her, just a plain brand of potatoe chips.

Hopefully this will breathe new life into Reynold. If he want one of the people I picked for the pool I wouldn't be rooting for him though.

Ridiculously stacked tribe vs the tribe or misfits. This is going to be utter demolition up until the merge. Kind of sucks that Matt was voted out. Didn't feel like he deserved that. I suppose they wanted him out as he was the strongest of the 3 of Matt, Michael, and Julia.

I'm out again. Man, I suck at these pools. I liked Matt, seemed like a pretty likeable smart guy, but the numbers game was his demise. Doesn't seem to be anyone left that I'm really cheering for now, maybe Malcolm. Just hope there's more drama and interesting episodes ahead.

That was soooooo satisfying... Hated Corinne the first time she played and hated her this time. Malcolm is going to scheme himself out of this season.

Such a great result tonight, I fist pumped at the outcome. Sort of surprised Brenda and Erik switched so easily since I assumed they were under Malcolm's thump. Good on them for making the tough choice and getting rid of one of the favorites.
It was also great seeing Corrine say that she's never seen a blindside before... well now she sure has haha.
I still wouldn't mind if Malcolm makes it further in the game, but I don't like Reynold at all, so I hope he goes next.
Also liking Cochrane more this season, after absolutely hating him last time around. This has actually been quite a great season thus far, after I thought it would be terrible after hearing the returning cast. It also should be unpredictable from here on out with two of the members on the minority side holding idols.

Corinne gets voted out because she can't keep her mouth shut, it is so fitting. "It's blind side time." *taps wrist*
You bet it is sweetie.
