This is my one concern. I am willing to trust Flames management know not more than me, but size stats don't lie.

Just shut up about it if you have nothing better to say, rather then bring it up again and compare that loser Bouwmeester to Iginla. Between that and cleaning his teeth during the Iginla tribute, complete disrespect for Jarome.
Also saying that, and I'm paraphrasing "this time Jay and his agent never waivered from their list" is just unnecessary BS.

I think some of you are too personally attached to Iggy

these players don't care about us, after the recent work stoppage we should all know that now

I don't see how that's relevant. As an executive it is not wise to publicly trash the best and most popular player in the history of the organization largely as a result of your own mistake. What did he gain but putting it like that in the interview? He could have just praised Bouwmeester and his agent but went out of his way to compare. Just not necessary and especially stupid given how it was negatively directed at Iginla and one of the most powerful agents in hockey. How many more bridges can this guy burn?

3 first rounders in a deep draft is not bad.

Iginla got the final call from Edwards he stated this on CBC on Saturday. He told Edwards he wanted to go to Pittsburgh if they liked the deal and he was told that's where he is going. If anyone should be shat on its Edwards not iggy, feaster.

"He didn't come here to trade these guys"...hopefully on the way out.
He could be a lame duck. He sells off the teams players and the new guy comes in with a clean slate.

I don't understand how others on here can knock on Bouwmeester for not being on a playoff team during his career. Hockey isn't like basketball. The guy was on a god-awful Florida team for chrissakes, then moved to the Flames right around where they simply decided lets keep 3 skilled players and surround them with grinders. He's played on some pretty lousy teams, and all we can do is knock him for personally never being in the playoffs. Let's not be as dumb as your average Leafs fans.

I think everyboy gets that Iggy changed his mind on the list in the last hours.

But what happened to the flames taking the "classy" route? They have basically failed at everything this year, bad offer sheet, bad team, bad trades and bad at staying "classy".

I think people are reading too much into what Feaster said, plus he had a point it was nice to work with someone who had more then one team on his list. Thats how I took it, though mayhaps I am wrong.

Thats fine the Iggy is respected throughout the organization except with, the ever so academic, Feaster.

The staff already has their rankings/strategy in place, irrespective of the recent acquistions. As problematic as Feaster has been, a new GM could disrupt the next few months without having a feel for the organization's direction.

That's just cheap. Feaster is never going to win a popularity contest with Iggy. He made his point the day after the trade. Be a professional and move on.

He sounds like a scorned ex-girlfriend bitching to her friends at the bar 6 months after getting dumped.

This trade was rubbish. Basically all we got was a first-rounder.

Tomorrow we'll wake up to find Kipper traded to Toronto for a bag of Kessel's worn jocks.

Beyond that, who says the Flames wanted Rattie? Perhaps they aren't as high on him as some people on this board are.

Honestly I've never really been that high on Rattie and never understood the lovefest for him.

can't believe this team has 3 first rounders with one likely being top three and people still aren't happy
