Not sure why any team would even consider trading for Kipper at this point. He's clearly rattled by the situation with the Flames and it's debatable if a trade to a new team will help.

Kipper's doing the Flames a favor right now. So, we should actually thank him for that. If anyone's pissed off at the goals that are scored, look no further than the guys in front of him.
I think the Flames can get a lot for Kipper if he decides not to retire next season. He's still the top 3 goalie in the league regardless of what his stats are this season. The whole team sucks - PERIOD!

If I had to bet, Kiprusoff would prefer to retire next year rather than play for 1.5M... which is probably what the Leafs are going to talk to him about. If he tells them he is retiring next year, I'm going to guess a 3rd round pick for Kipper, which Feaster will take, because a 3rd is better than no pick since he's gone next season anyways.

I would guess if you want to discreetly tank for higher pics, Kipper would be the ticket.

Kipper hasn't been a top 3 goalie in years. Top 3 is very high praise!

If you were a fan of the Leafs, would you be okay with trading a 1st round pick for a number 1 goalie that would retire after the playoff run?

Flames should be charging for prospects to talk to Kipper, especially the Leafs.

Kiprusoff gets a lot better without the Western Conference travel load & added pressure of backstopping 70 games every year. Maybe he should give this some serious consideration.

If you been through 2 lockouts and zero playoff games in the past 8 years, and your goaltending was the biggest reason you fell off last year, ya, maybe.

Trouble is that the draft is before when they can extend him so any conditional pick upgrades (ex. 2nd upgraded to a 1st if he signs) will have to be in 2014.
