what if Iginla is an average player now and it wasn't just his linemates?

Got it. I just saw him take that pass on his off wing and the split second to pull it across contributing to the offside

Puck to the face, and he got cut, but he should be back you'd think. Unless the Penguins want to be super careful with him.

Yep, same here. I used to like them before regardless, but most of my in-laws live on Long Island, so I get to be exposed to them quite a bit these days. I think a lot of people would be surprised how many Islanders fans are out there, just waiting for something...anything...to happen in a positive way. We all think the Flames have had it bad, but this team has gone for 18 years without a first-round playoff win. And yet for some reason, there is still a hardcore group of fans of the team. That's one fan base that deserves some success.

Well Bell finally has their HD game going. I was watching it on Game Centre to get the better feed. So far pretty boring except for the Crosby incident.

I think that's it right there. Iggy just needs to realize that it should be Malkin carrying the puck in (and he will).

Once they all learn how to play together, and Iginla settles back into a shooter role, it'll all be good

Even if he's not nearly as fast these days, Jarome will always have that oh so dangerous bomb of a shot.

I can't stand these announcers, may have to start watching the other teams feeds from now on.

The Isles MSG team is pretty decent.

Hickey has been looking pretty solid in New York from what I have read. It's too bad we couldn't snag him from the Kings when he could have been had for a 7th earlier in the year.

Nice to see that it's not just the Flames that have boring afternoon games.

I think that Shero may have miscalculated a little bit, like Sutter did the year he traded Lombardi for Jokinen. The 3 acquisitions of Morrow, Iginla, and Murray were all trades for older, slower veterans. I have no doubt that Morrow will battle hard down low, Iginla will provide another weapon on a great PP and motivation for the team to win for him, and Murray will be physical. But there is no question that the team is slower than they were.

For all three, their value will be much more evident in the playoffs

I don't think the pressure is off for Iggy, he is coming into a team that has won what 14 straight and its stanley cup or bust. Seems like a lot of pressure, especially with the way the deal went down. He is gonna get roasted in Boston
