If they are using Nemisz at centre he could be valuable on a checking line in Calgary. He did play some of his junior days in that role.

Yeah I'm kind of hoping the Flames do what out-of-contention baseball teams do: bring up all the promising rookies / young players to close out the season.

Four points in 6 games. He didn't have any in the first three so it took him a bit to get going.

I don't think Baertschi plays with Nemisz. Ward has had Nemisz on the third line for most of the season. And Sven usually gets top line minutes.

maybe give him more than 2 years to produce players? Especially considering the initial crop he was given. Once he starts to see Gaudreau, Jankowski, Wotherspoon, Seiloff, etc... it will probably be a different story.

I saw they were together on that shift where Baertschi scored and recalled their chemistry when both were up in the NHL last season. Not sure if they play together regularly.
Hopefully the Flames don't give up on Nemisz. The kid looked like an NHLer last season and injuries really derailed his play.

It's tradition in baseball because they have September expanded rosters, therefore there's always a few players that are called up at that time no matter how good the team is doing. NHL doesn't really allow that.

I forgot baseball expanded their rosters.
I should have known better than to think there would be anything to look forward to this year...

I didn't notice that the first time I saw the highlights. I think Nemisz can be a solid third line player in the NHL. He may not have had success on the stats since his injury but still has the tools to play in the NHL.

Baertschi picked up a goal tonight and assisted on the winning goal for the Heat win against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Final score was 4-3.

Another goal for Baertschi today.
3-3 with about 6 minutes left in the third against Toronto.

No, it was 6 in his last 5. Now 7 in 6 if he doesn't pick up another point today.
