That is an attempt to belittle a poster and yes, I would call that a personal attack. But again that is my opinion which I am entitled to and you do not have to agree with, just like I do not have to agree with yours.
Just because someone does not agree with you does not make them a "whiner".

We would have had 2 second rounders if we hasn't stupidly traded one in the Regehr trade so that "we got one back" garbage is useless unless Buffalo gave it back for nothing.

Don't think you are a whiner which is why I never said it. Said the two posts were whining. I addressed the posts not you as a poster.
Either way up to mods to decide personal attacks and this is OT enough.

Alright well these were your own words after the trade went down..."Feaster just got boned on that trade and it may very well set this franchise back."
I agree with this, and I will always believe we got boned in the trade. That second rounder was still a second rounder we lost. Buffalo gave us theirs for trading down, it really has nothing to do with the 2nd rounder we lost in the Regehr deal.

Man these are some tough times.
Im so tired of hearing the analysts/other GM's saying how bad we get robbed for our trades, when will we ever be on the winning side.
"Everyone from the NHL saying the Flames got absolutley robbed in this deal" - Darren Dreger.
Its pretty pathetic. The only good thing the Flames had that made me happy was having a legend like Jarome Iginla on the team, I always said that no matter how bad things are, we always got Jarome and that always put a smile on my face.
But now we trade him for 2 players, who lets be honest, will never play a game in the NHL and a 1st round pick.
The only piece of that deal that is of any value is the first rounder.
I honestly cant believe it..
Come back Iggy..

Amazing how media can go from "the Flames are asking for way too much" to "the Flames got absolutely robbed" in 24 hours.

Of course you can, but what made you change your mind? Butler is still below average to terrible, Paul Byron is not developing like anyone had hoped and we still lost a second round pick for (your words again) "our second best defencemen" at the time.
Anyways we'll agree to disagree because nothing will convince me we did well in the trade.

Ya on TSN tonight. Him and Rod Smith were talking about the deal.
Heartbreaking enough to lose the heart of the Flames, and just to rub salt in our wounds, we are the laughing stock of getting no value back for him.

I personaly don't put much faith in what the media says. Opinions are like arseholes and everybody has one. None of them know all the details that went on behind the scenes of the deal.

Tell me you're happy with the turn and not just being defensive against the media because you're a fan. What went on behind the scenes is irrelevant to what they said. Their comment is solely about the return.

Dreger's an Oilers fan anyway. Of course he's going to say things like this.
I haven't said much on all of this stuff yet, but I'm glad Iginla is gone. No more threads of "he's not a leader", "hasn't done anything since 2004", "floater", "doesn't backcheck", posts. Hell, I'd wager there's a few posters who think Iginla leaving is an addition by subtraction move.
Time for the Flames to really turn up the suck. I'll always cheer for them, but this is gonna get painful.
Calgary still hasn't fixed their main problem, or at least shown any signs yet.
The other side of me hopes they make the playoffs and beat the Pens for the cup.

The deal is awful anyway it's sliced. It's inexcusable and awful asset management.

Hard to argue it was a terrible return, I won't get into the management side of it as I've said my piece on Feaster and the higher ups, but you can't do much when Iggy forces the teams hand by saying he will only go to one team and that team likely knows that, but regardless offers you beans.
I honestly just want to forget this whole situation because between us getting fleeced, management looking very questionable yet again and the fact that we didn't get even a small (didn't expect a top prospect) piece that will help kick off the rebuild is pretty gut wrenching. I need more vodka...

I would neither praise nor condemn Feaster for the return on this deal. His hands were tied by Iginla essentially choosing one team and limiting returns while the respectful treatment of the player from the organization was accomplished in the NMC from back in the Sutter era. Feaster was essentially just the middle man on brokering Iggy's move to the Pens, but as a middle man his job was basically to have both sides come out looking good amd make it go smoothly. He did make a mess of that.
I'm just not sure what to praise Feaster over. The drafting seems better somewhat but the team stinks, they don't look like they're going to be better soon and the organization looks shambolic.
It's hard enough to cheer the Flames on with Igina, and Feaster isn't improving that.
