No kidding. Just saying it's kind of funny since pretty much no one else has heard of them either.

You guys know that everyone handles emotions the same way right? You don't have to cry to be upset.
if you've watched Iginla speak, you can tell he's emotional right now. some people are just better at handling those emotions than others

I'd prefer he be strong like this far more than seeing him with the hot snotty tears.

To all those people saying he's not showing enough emotion to show how much he loves Calgary: Look at how genuinely happy he was remembering all the times he's had. That's the type of guy he is.

He's just being professional about it. Obviously he doesn't know.

Sure, we would all love if he came back in a reduced role, but I would be just as happy if he resigned for 3 years in Pittsburgh.

You expected a different atmosphere based on the reaction of a message board? Ok bud.

There is a bit of a difference. Smyth was in a contract negotiation, walked into work and was told he was traded to the Islanders. Then, the Oilers would throw the same money towards Dustin Penner that summer. I would be a blubbering idiot after that too.

You were never going to see this, from Iginla. Guy's been a total pro from day one.

Oh, I know.

Meanmrmustard doesn't understand that though. Everyone has to be a crying idiot like Ryan Smyth to feel emotional.

You guys who think he's not emotional are way off base IMO. You can tell he's reminiscing all the fond memories here. The smiles are for all those fond memories. Man, I love the guy. I really hope he wins the cup this year.

Iginla can't even say one good thing about himself when asked what he wants people to remember him for.

So humble.

Listening to how he described his first NHL game, it was so genuine, you know he gave that exact same story to Baertschi when he got called up last year.

Iggy is the classiest player in the league, and you can see how happy he is to get a real chance for the cup.

Its fun to rag on Edmonton, but the guy like Iggy was their franchise player.

You may find it ugly or stupid but not everyone shares the same emotional traits as you.

Iginla is such a class act, will be missed in the Flames and community alike.

Hope he returns, even it is just to take a whirl on the ice to get a propper send off on the ice.
