A lot of people on this forum like Weisbrod, but he shoulders much of this blame.
He thinks he's smarter than he truly is.

Well if Yoyo says it...
I personally don't know jack$hit about these prospects, and I don't think I'm alone in that, but here we are, bitching about how crappy they are.

The majority of overtime callers in Calgary are brutally bad, lol.

Think about it - you have two interested parties:
1) Offering two 2nd liner prospects and a conditional 1st rounder
2) Offering two 2nd/3rd line prospects and a 1st rounder
Then, you let the player choose which one is better based on who's on the team. I'd choose the Pens too if all I've ever wanted were first line centers to play with and a high percentage to win the cup. I think the Flames are better off with a guaranteed 1st rounder pick rather than a conditional one. If Iggy comes back in the off-season, basically Iggy gets a Cup, Flames gets a 2 first round picks, the team is at least a little better off than where they are now. Now, they just gotta gut at least three quarters of this team and just rebuild. Just hope Iggy comes back in the off-season.

Thanks for that.

Good to see Agostino and Hanowski have some size so we're not getting 2 Byrons.

As for Iginla re-signing with Calgary in the off season, I only see it as a possibility if he wins a cup with the pens.
If he doesn't, I really believe he will sign with a cup contender in the off season.

So then how can you say Pittsburgh's likely wasn't the best offer?
From what we have to go on, it certainly looks better than Boston's if they were unwilling to make the 1st unconditional.
