I really hope it is only a rental. Hard to justify otherwise. No good centre. No first-rate prospect. I didn't think I'd be this upset about Iginla trade, honestly.
Some how CP is giving this trade a pass because he gets to play with Crosby? I could care less that Iggy is a Penguin . It looked like Feaster screwed up on the first rumour but instead he got less than the first rumour. I have no doubt that Iggy would have re-signed with the Bruins.
I give it a pass since it sounds like they had three offers and Iggy choose Pittsburgh.
Not once did Feaster mention that he felt this was the best offer or the best package.
In the end it likely came down to where Iggy wanted to go and he chose Pittsburgh to play with Crosby.
Iggy negotiated a NTC so that was his right.

How do you know if they're brutal or not? Have you ever watched these guys play? My guess is a big fat no. Seriously, some of you folks really need to calm down. Clearly the Flames' scouts have looked at these guys and like what they see. Pofessional scouts who get paid to do their homework on players like this. Lets all chill out, be patient, and see what these guys can do first before we start freaking out about the trade.

The return really does suck (IMO), but whatever, he's landing where he wanted to go and would have signed in the offseason anyway, so something is better than nothing.
Clearly Feaster wasn't in charge of this trade, it was Iggy's ship, we were just along for the ride.
The widespread changes are clearly getting under way, at last. However, at every stage of this process and during the past while many people have relentlessly and pessimistically slagged Feaster for idiocy and mismanagement. I personally don't see it. Although I'm sad to see Iggy go, I'm excited for his chance to win a cup with Sid the Kid and for this team's embarkation upon a new course, but I hope that more people around here can be genuinely excited about where this team may be going and embrace that we're on the cusp of a new era.
